"Hello?"

"Dr. Kang?"

The doctor furrowed her eyebrows, sensing the one who called her was not Korean.

"Yes?"

"It's me, James, the UN doctor. Can we talk about the WHO offer?"

Time seemed to stop for Mo Yeon when she heard James' voice. She knew they would call her sooner or later, she just didn't expect it to become this sooner because she hadn't prepared any answers and she hadn't made the decision yet. Added the fact she was pregnant, that also made everything became complicated.

"Hello? Dr. Kang?"

Mo Yeon was brought back to reality. "Umm...yes?"

"I'm James."

"Yeah, I heard you," Mo Yeon answered sheepishly. "What is it, Dr. James?"

"How are you, Doctor? It's really nice to hear your voice."

"I'm doing fine. How about you? What brings you to call me?"

"I'm fine as well. Anyway, Dr. Margaret Chan would like to hear about your decision for her offer about joining WHO, Dr. Kang. Do you already made your decision?"

Mo Yeon took a deep breath. "Honestly, no. Not yet."

"I'll be on Korea next month. We can meet at WHO regional office there and you can tell me your decision. Is that alright with you?"

The doctor could only nodded. "Yes."

"That's good. I'll contact you later. Good day, Dr. Kang."

And James disconnected the call, leaving Mo Yeon stood motionless while gripping her phone. What should she do?

"Who was that?"

Mo Yeon almost jumped in surprise when she heard Si Jin's voice. She looked up to see him watching her. Again, Mo Yeon forgot how stealthily Si Jin could become.

"Who?"

"The one who called you."

"It's nobody."

Si Jin chuckled. "Are you still mad at me?"

"Yes," Mo Yeon answered without thinking.

"If I apologize to you, will you tell me who it was?"

"If you apologize to me, do you mean it?"

Si Jin sighed and stepped closer to his wife while the latter only watching him. "What do I have to do to prove you that you're the only one in my heart? I even didn't enjoy my blind date."

"That explained your smiling face."

"Do you think it's proper to give a sad face for my picture? I was just trying to be nice."

"Too nice."

The Major blew a breath. He had said dealing with his wife or Myeong Ju was deadlier than any of his missions once and apparently it proved to be right again.

"Can we not talk about this now? We're on our friend's wedding," Si Jin finally said.

"No, we should talk about this now since someone just brought it up," Mo Yeon said stubbornly.

Si Jin took another deep breath again. "Any normal men will also get angry in a situation like this, but I won't do that."

"What will you do, then?" The doctor challenging him.

He looked at his wife deeply before leaning down, held her face, and kissed her deeply. Si Jin didn't care if someone might saw him making out with his wife, he smiled inwardly when he sensed her didn't fight him, but kissed him back. Si Jin pulled Mo Yeon closer by her waist while the doctor wrapped her arms around Si Jin's shoulders.

After a while, Si Jin ended his kiss and stared at his wife's face. Their noses almost touched. "Are you still angry now?" he asked with smile on his voice.

"Not really. Maybe I should angry more often to have you kiss me like that," Mo Yeon said with twinkle on her eyes.

Si Jin only chuckled and took his wife's hand, walking back to the reception hall. Their discussion could wait.

Inside the hall, they sat on their table, surrounding by their friends whom were looking happy by some news.

"Ah, there you are," Dr. Song said. "You're almost late, Mo Yeon. Chi Hun has great news."

"Oh?" Mo Yeon blinked and then, looked at her junior. "What news?"

The young doctor grinned while his wife was blushing next to him. "I'm going to have another child."

The nurses and Dr. Song were grinning while Mo Yeon's eyes widened and Si Jin chuckled.

"This is indeed a great news," The Major said. And then, he looked over to Dr. Song and his wife. "What about you, Dr. Song? You don't want to follow our steps to have children?"

Just like Chi Hun and his wife, the senior doctor also grinned while his wife was blushing. "We're still trying."

Mo Yeon hit his husband playfully by his arm. "That's nice."

Si Jin looked over at Captain Lee who sat next to him. "And looks like you and your girlfriend who are unmarried on this table."

Joon Ha and Nurse Choi blushed instantly while Mo Yeon hit Si Jin's arm again. "Don't tease them," she said, causing Si Jin to laugh.

"Ah yes, I'm waiting for them, though," Dr. Song said while grinning. "I still remember when Min-ji had a crush on Dr. Daniel."

Mo Yeon, Si Jin, and Joon Ha said at the same time, "What?"

"You didn't know?" The senior doctor asked. "Oh, of course you didn't. You both were busy flirting with each other," he pointed to Mo Yeon and Si Jin.

It was a good thing Daniel was not present at the wedding for he had UN mission in Canada, but Si Jin told Mo Yeon the Peacekeeper doctor would come personally to Korea to see Sergeant Seo and Myeong Ju after his mission was over.

"Dr. Song, how can you say that?" the young nurse said in embarassement. And then, she raised her chin defiantly. "Your wife also had a crush on Dr. Daniel."

It was Dr. Song's turn to be frown and his wife grinned sheepishly.

"You had a crush on Dr. Daniel?" Joon Ha asked Nurse Choi, his jealousy was crystal clear.

Mo Yeon raised her eyebrows. "This is getting interesting."

Si Jin sighed and tapped Joon Ha's shoulder several times. "I understand how you feel, Captain."

The reception was still going afterwards and Mo Yeon walked outside the hall and sat on one of the benches. Her feet were getting sore for standing too long using high heels. She left Si Jin inside the hall when she saw him having conversation with some of the army officers. Besides, she needed time to think about James' phone call.

Mo Yeon looked up to the sky and a bit disappointed when she saw no stars. She blew a breath and lowered her head.

What decision did she has to make?

Joining with WHO was the biggest reward for her passion as a doctor, but leaving Si Jin behind was the hardest thing in her life. She still remember her life when she thought Si Jin was gone. Mo Yeon knew she couldn't endure a life like that again, and there was also their child. She couldn't just took her child away from his or her father.

But, Mo Yeon also knew she couldn't stay forever in Haesung. As long as the connection played the biggest part in the hospital, she would always be in the surgery room without any prospects on becoming a professor.

"Gosh...what should I do?" Mo Yeon mumbled to herself while massaging her foot. She took off her heels and was about to massage it when she saw Si Jin already kneeled in front of her.

Without saying a word, Si Jin started to massage Mo Yeon's leg and foot, with the doctor looked at him in silence. Si Jin did the same thing to the other leg and foot and after that, stared at Mo Yeon's eyes and smiled.

"Feeling better?" he asked warmly.

Mo Yeon smiled in return and nodded. "Yes, thank you." She looked up at her husband who was sitting next to her. "I can do this on my own, you know."

"Love compels us to do things for others that they can do themselves."

"Ah..." Mo Yeon's eyes brightened. "I know the man who said that." She sighed and stared at Si Jin's eyes. "I'm sorry I haven't done the same thing to you."

Si Jin's eyes twinkled. "Who said you haven't?"

"Eh?"

"Remember when you hit that Yoon Gi guy for me? Or when you pointed your gun to the Colonel to save me?"

"Oh..."

Si Jin leaned closer and caressed Mo Yeon's hair. "You've done more than I had. I only tied your hair while you were saving my life."

"You're making me like I'm the heroine."

"Yes, because you are a heroine." He nodded to Mo Yeon's feet. "Are you tired? Do you want to go home?"

Mo Yeon shook her head and leaned back on the bench, sighing. "No, I want to stay here for a while."

"Alright," Si Jin relented and also leaned on the bench, smiling when Mo Yeon rested her head on his shoulder.

"Are you going to apologize or to confess?" suddenly Mo Yeon asked.

Si Jin blinked. "Huh?"

"You were kissing me without permission earlier. Actually, you did that a lot."

The Major grinned. "So, how many apologies do I owe you?"

"Who said I want your apology?" Mo Yeon raised her head and looked at her husband's eyes. "I want your confession."

The intensity on Mo Yeon's eyes caused Si Jin's heart to flutter. How he loved this woman. She was his life, his everything.

"I'm curious, though," Mo Yeon said again, oblivious about the internal battle on Si Jin's mind. "If I said you have to confess back then, what would you say?"

Si Jin didn't answer, only stared at Mo Yeon's beautiful eyes. His eyes slowly had the softest look. "That you are beautiful and I love you."

Mo Yeon blinked. "That's all?"

Si Jin tilted his head. "Would it be a shock for you if I said I want a relationship and a future with you? You would be surprise and in the end, completely rejected me."

"You didn't know if you didn't say," Mo Yeon shrugged. "Who knew maybe I want it too."

It was Si Jin's turn to be surprise. "You did?"

"I did and I do. This little one is the prove."

Si Jin chuckled and embraced Mo Yeon on his arms. "Alright...alright...I believe you."

Mo Yen sighed. "Finally, Myeong Ju and Sergeant Seo is married. What do you think their marriage will look like?"

The Major pursed his lips. "Myeong Ju probably keeps her usual way with Sergeant Seo while Sergeant Seo keeps his way between dealing with Myeong Ju's way and a man with a heart of soldier that he is."

The doctor blinked. "What are you talking about?"

Si Jin chuckled. "I was saying they will be happy. I told Sergeant Seo once he shouldn't make Myeong Ju to wait any longer. She is the love of his life."

"Oh..." Mo Yeon nodded. "Sergeant Seo is really romantic, indeed."

"Seriously?" Si Jin asked, being annoyed.

Mo Yeon could only chuckled.

***

As much as they had a good time on the wedding party, Si Jin could notice how different his wife became after the phone call. Mo Yeon, in the other hand, still thinking how to make a good decision regarding the offer. She didn't say anything during the journey home and only sat on the dining room once they arrived.

"You're too quiet," Si Jin commented and sat next to Mo Yeon. "You didn't answer my question. Who was it?"

Mo Yeon blew a breath. "I don't know how to answer it."

"Hmm..." Si Jin pulled out Mo Yeon's phone from his pocket and started to look for the caller ID. "The area code is not from Korea."

The doctor's eyes went wide, realizing her husband had her phone. "How did you..." And then, she slumped. "Are you using your skill again to get my phone from my purse?"

"No, even without using my skill, you were too distracted to realize I was taking your phone from your purse," Si Jin said.

Mo Yeon took a deep breath. "It was James. He asked me about the WHO offer."

Si Jin went still.

"He gave me a month to have my decision."

"Oh..."

Si Jin slowly put Mo Yeon's phone on the table and looked at his wife. "Have you decided?"

The doctor shook her head. "No, I'm still confused."

"Why?"

"I want to say yes, but I don't want to leave you and I don't want to take our child away from you. But, I know I don't want to stay in Haesung forever. I'm not going to win with all those connections."

The Major took a deep breath and held Mo Yeon's hand. "Dr. Kang, look at me."

Mo Yeon slowly raised her head and looked at Si Jin's eyes.

Si Jin smiled with eyes full of understanding. "I know how you feel. I know you care about me and our child, but you also want to think about yourself. I told you before, I will support your decision. No matter what it is."

Hearing Si Jin's words causing Mo Yeon to sniffle, either because she was touched or because it was her pregnancy hormones.

"Did you tell me to leave you?" she asked with brimmed eyes.

"No, you silly woman of mine," Si Jin said, pulling Mo Yeon to his arms, letting her cry on his embrace. "I just want to say I want what is best for you, even if it means we have to live separately."

Mo Yeon didn't answer, only wrapped her arms around Si Jin's body.

"I also know you can't do that. I trust you to make a good decision. You are a wise woman after all. Please, don't let yourself having stress because of this. It's not good for our baby," Si Jin said again, trying to comfort his wife.

Mo Yeon could only cry harder.

Si Jin hugged his wife tightly, resting his face on his wife's head, closing his eyes.

Whatever happened, he also wished the best for both of them.

***

After their conversation, Mo Yeon was trying not to think hard about the phone call. She had a month anyway. She still has more time to think. A week after Myeong Ju's wedding, Si Jin came to Haesung for his wife's monthly check up. He was indeed nervous because it was the first time he came to Mo Yeon's pregnancy check up after she was on her third month. Mo Yeon could only giggled when she saw Si Jin's tense expression.

"Relax. All you have to do is just sit and watch the ultrasound. I'm the one who will get a check up. Not you," Mo Yeon said when they were waiting at the ob-gyn department.

Some of the patients were looking at Si Jin in curiosity for he was still on his green uniform.

"It's my first time to have this kind of appointment."

"You better be."

Si Jin raised his eyebrows and then, grinned. "But, of course, this won't be my only time. We agree on three."

Mo Yeon covered her face with her hand. "Oh gosh...how could you bring it up in the time like this?"

Their discussion was stopped when a nurse called Mo Yeon's name. Both of them walked into the room and Mo Yeon introduced Si Jin to her colleague. The ob-gyn congratulated Si Jin for Mo Yeon's pregnancy and began the monthly check up. Si Jin watched his child through the USG scan in awe. His child was not a bean anymore, it began to have a shape. Mo Yeon was prescript with some vitamins and again, she was reminded not to have any stress. They came out from the room with Si Jin looking very happy.

"You will go with me to my check up next month?" Mo Yeon asked while they were walking back to her department.

Si Jin nodded. "If I was not on another mission, I'll go with you."

"Oh..." Mo Yeon stared at Si Jin curiously. "I think it's been a while since I heard Special Forces has mission."

"You can say that. Let's just say the world is giving us a break after a while."

Mo Yeon smiled. "It's good to hear that."

Their conversation was hold when they met with Director Han along with his secretary. For the director, this was the first time for him to see Si Jin with his uniform. He saw Si Jin on his dress uniform on Mo Yeon's wedding day, but never on his green uniform.

Si Jin and Mo Yeon stopped on their feet and Mo Yeon unconsciously gripped Si Jin's arm. Si Jin and the Director only stared at each other before the Director cleared his throat.

"I heard you're going to have a baby, Dr. Kang. Congratulations to both of you, I guess."

"Thank you, Director Han," Mo Yeon said.

Si Jin didn't say anything when the Director walked by and passed him. Mo Yeon blew a breath dramatically.

"He's not giving you any hard times again, is he?" Si Jin asked when they were continue walking.

"No."

"That's good."

When they arrived at Mo Yeon's department, Si Jin kissed her forehead, saying his goodbye for he had to return to the base.

"Don't tire yourself. Remember, not to get any stress," he said to Mo Yeon.

The doctor smiled. "I will. Don't worry."

"I'll see you at home."

Si Jin smiled back before walking away. Mo Yeon watched her husband's retreat figure and her mind unconsciously began to think for a decision regarding the offer.

She was running out of time.
