The rain keeps pouring,
Never-ending grey,
My world seems awash in blue,
Without you, it rains every day
The walls close in,
My breath runs out,
Our love has run dry,
A never-ending drought
When I first laid my eyes on you,
I saw my heaven and hell,
Everyone warned me to stay away,
But my heart always seemed to rebel
You were a flame that lit my world up,
You were the cold that shattered my heart,
You were my mayfly,
Here one day and on the other, you seemed to depart
The broken pieces of my heart have scattered,
I search for them far and wide,
But no matter how far I look,
I can't bring myself to search inside
Because I know without you I am broken,
Without you, there's nothing left of me,
You were the flame in which I was forged,
You clapped me in chains, and I didn't even want to be free
Is this pain in my chest love?
Someone tell me for the boundaries are now blurred...
