Today is a Wednesday. I have been staying at Zweli's place since the Sunday of the incident and guy made it clear that I am not going back to my apartment until I find a new one and rent that one out since my brother bought it or when I put in a tighter security. I love that place. I told Mbuso about the Nkosi issue and he wished to fly and deal with him but ended up being okay when he spoke to Zweli and he assured him that I'm good. Rolling my eyes. Yesterday we went to fetch some of my clothes so I am basically a resident here and Khanya couldn't be more happier. I am in the kitchen making food for her as she'll be back from swimming lessons. Zweli left to Cambridge last night and only coming back Friday. People who travel abroad!!
"I am back.!!!" Khanya shouts from the lounge. This kid has to have a huge personality that I sometimes can't deal with but I love that she knows boundaries and respect.
"I am in the kitchen" I say as I can hear footsteps
"Thank goodness you are making food Sisi. I am so hungry and my lessons today were extreme" she says dragging the bar stool to sit
"Good thing I figured it out. How was it and what did you learn" I ask and she rolls her eyes
"You don't wanna know. I was spinning today and it was hectic. I am so tired but I have 4 homework and a project to finish" she says. Such a drama queen!!
"At least you learnt something new hey. Here's your sandwich. Which drink do you want?" I ask
"Thank you. You make the best sandwiches. I'll drink Oros." She says
"Thank you babes" I say taking water to make her Oros. I give it to her and she thanks me again
"Sis Tali how old were you when you had your first boyfriend" she shoots. This kids!!
I clear my throat "I was 18." I say. Besides my virgin breaker, my first love was Nkosi
"What. So meaning you only get to realise that you love someone once you 18?" She asks
"Not really but I think it's just age of maturity" I say
"Okay then" she says
"Do you have something to tell me perhaps" I ask and she giggles
"Okay. Thing is there's this boy from my class which I like and he likes me too. He always buys me P.s and my favourite juice at the cafeteria" she says
"Mhmm. Continue" I say as I can tell there's more to it.
"The other day he kissed my cheek and I kind of liked it" she says blushing
"Khanya!! But okay I don't say it's wrong to be a girlfriend to him as long you too don't engage in adult things" I say
"Like sex?? Don't worry we won't. I know the consequences and besides dad will slaughter me alive. I still have Umemulo to go through" she says. I am done with this child. Clap once!!!
Khanya and I chit chat on things. Most it's her asking questions and I answer to them. I prepare dinner for the both of us while she does her homework, after I am done we eat and do dishes. We both go take bath and meet at the lounge. We watch tv and she ask to catch up on Fairly Odd Parents while I read my book.
I am also chatting with Zweli. He is complaining about how the place is boring and he wish I was there cause I was probably going to want to explore every corner of it instead of the people he left with. Shame!! I am laughing in between as he tells me about the kind of food they had at the confirmation event and how it tastes like urine.
"Come on you are exaggerating. How can food taste like urine" I ask
"This one that I had is the one ke maMtimande. I honestly miss your cooking and dessert in between" he says making me blush
