What about a Crossmare story where Cross is an innocent bean, but Nightmare has influenced him and now he's the complete opposite of innocent and does really bad things.
In the beginning Nightmare likes the new Cross but he sees that it wasn't the Cross he fell in love with and that this Cross is drastically dofferent. And he regrets ever showing the smol terrible things and that crap.
So now Nightmare has to show him true love and affection to get the old Cross back.

I just read a book where Nightmare said somthing along the lines of "god what have I done to the innocent child" and I was like ! IDEA SPARKED! So yeah. Now you mates can make do of what you want of it.
