Kamira Marie Raines
East Harlem📍

"Kamira, we need you on register today," her manger stopped her. Kamira admittedly scrunched up her face. She hated working cashier, she didn't like dealing with the people.

"What?" Kamira mugged her. She also didn't like her manger. Her manger, Kalie, had been a bitch to her since she first started.

"Cash register," Kalie said in a duh tone.

Kamira chucked lowly and nodded. "Aight, which register I'm on?" She said growing impatient with the girl.

"4," she told her before walking away. Kamira rolled her eyes before walking over register 4. She flipped her line on and took the chain off the walk way.

"Hey Mira," Madison waved at her. Madison was a sweet girl. She was 16 and too innocent for her own could. She was literally a ray of sunshine.

"Hey, Maddy," Kamira waved back. "How was your day?"

"It's been okay?" Madison shrugged. "My friend grabbed me to this party with her this weekend, definitely not my cup of tea," she shook her head.

"Why not?" Kamira chuckled.

"It was uncomfortable, people were just drinking and acting no way they would act in front of their mothers," she shook her head again.

"I'm sure it wasn't that bad," Kamira laughed.

"Really? Some boy asked me if he could drive my boat and all his friends start laughing... I don't even have a boat, Mira," she shook her head in disbelief.

"They weren't- yup, kids are crazy," Kamira laughed.

Madison scoffed agreeing. "How have you been? I haven't worked with you in almost a week."

"I know I had took some time off to take care of Zakani, as you know." The two had exchanged numbers awhile ago and texted from time to time.

"Mhm," Madison nodded following along.

"Then you remember Brix, I told you about?" She asked and Madison nodded again. "He got shot."

Madison gasped. "Oh my gosh, is he okay?"

"Yea, he's fine. But our other friends Jaymo passed," Kamira shook her head on the sad memory.

"Oh, Kamira I'm so sorry," Madison pouted.

"It's fine," Kamira waved it off. "But it's just been a lot going on."

"Yea... your a good one because I would've quit," She said causing Kamira to chuckle.

"Was thinking about it for awhile," She confessed. "But everything is kinda coming together again, I guess."

"What new guy have you met, I know that look," Madison pointed at her.

"There's no new guy," she chuckled rolling her eyes playfully.

Madison gasped loudly making Kamira look at her weirdly. "I might be super, like really naive but I'm not a dummy."

"Maddy... what are you talking about?"
