It's been a week since Jaymo's funeral and the little moment Dontae and Kamira had shared. Honestly, Dontae was avoiding her. He didn't wanna have the talk that he knew she needed, and wanted to have.

So he kept his distance. He stayed at the hospital or at Rich's house. He didn't wanna face the truth... and his feelings.

Dontae had just got the call that Brix had just awoken out of his coma. He was overjoyed that his cousin was alive and soon to be back on his feet.

When he walked into the hospital room, Brix mother and Brix's baby sister was sitting in the chairs along side his bed.

"Hey aunty," Dontae greeted giving her a hug.

"Hey baby," she stood returning the mug.

"Waddup stink," he chuckled tickling the 5 year old sides. She wiggled around laughing uncontrollably.

"Wassup nigga," Dontae smiled dapping up his brother. "How you feel?"

"Like I got hit by a train," he groaned holding his side. Brix was shot in his left said and in his chest. None of the doctors understood how he managed to survive. He lost so much blood, the bullet was only an inch away from his heart.

"You look like it," Dontae chuckled.

"Where everybody else at? Shit... Jaymo was with me, he good? Moms was the first person here when I woke up," Dontae looked over at his aint figuring she would've told him about Jaymo's death. She just shook her head, saying that she didn't.

"Brix... Jaymo ain't make it man. He was dead on the scene. He got hit in his head," Dontae shook his head. The words coming out his mouth making it all more real.

"W-What?" He sat up only to fall straight back down. "Don't play with me right now, man. He good... where he at?"

Dontae shook his head. He couldn't even look in his eyes, the pain they held. It made him feel weak. "He's gone, Brix."

"Nah," Brix shook his head. "Gimme my phone ma," he tried reaching for it but he grab it.

His mother looked at him sadly. "He's gone baby," she grabbed his hands as a form of comfort.

Brix froze. He couldn't move, he felt like he couldn't breath. He'd known Jaymo since they 7 years old. That was his bestfriend, his brother. He thought they was gon be together forever.
