Kamira Marie Raines
East Harlem📍

"It was Sunday again, and everyone was at Evie's house for a plate. It had been awhile since Evie did Sunday dinner so she wanted to go all out.

"Is your boyfriend coming?" Kamira cheesed asking Evie.

"He's not my boyfriend... but yes, he is," she nodded.

Kamira and Evie was the only ones in the house at the moment. It was only 2 and usually people didn't start showing up until like 4 or 5.

Kamira actually loved helping Evie in the kitchen. She felt like she had that motherly love she lacked for so many years.

Kamira always felt like she didn't need a mother, that she was better off. But when she was around Evie, and they did little things like this. It made her want one more than anything.

Kamira grabbed the section paper plates from the top cabinet like Evie asked her. She placed them on the counter along with plastic forks and spoons.

"Baby, go unlock that front door for me," Kamira nodded walking towards the door unlocking and opening it. Kamira peaked her head out seeing the little kids running down the street.

It was a line of cars coming down the street. The parked along the side of Evie's house one by one. Kamira new the house was about to filled with people within seconds.

"Hey baby," a couple of Evie's older friends walked in greeting Kamira.

"Hey," She waved back smiling.

"Wassup Mira."

"Wassup Baby K."

Being around Brix and them had put her name out in the streets. Not in a bad way, people had just known who she was now, and who she ran with him.

Kamira sat in the living room quietly while the room filling up with more people by the second. "Wassup Mira, where that nigga Tae at?"

She looked up at Bean. He was a corner boy, made a couple drops now and again. He wasn't nobody big, just a 18 year old trying to feed his family

"I'm not sure, he should be on his way," she answered. Now that she thought about it, she hadn't talked to any of them all day.

She pulled out her phone pressing Monty's contact. "Yurrr!" He answered.

"Where y'all at?"

"We down the street, we finna be there in like 5 minutes," he answered. "It's deep?"

Kamira nodded looking around. "You know it is... I'll see y'all when y'all get here." Monty nodded before hanging up the phone.

"You mind if we sit here?" Kamira looked seeing a group of boys all with plates in their hands. Kamira shook her head and they all began piling into the empty seats.

She recognized some of them. They be on the block that Dontae and them be on everyday. They were older though, had to be at least 22.

The one who looked like the leader of the group was the one who spoke to her. He was also the one who stood out the most. He was brow skin, had to be at lest 6'2. Two gold chains dangling around his neck.
