Kamira Marie Raines
East Harlem📍

"Girl getcho ass up off that couch and do something wit yo self," Evie said as Kamira sat on the living room couch wrapped in her favorite blanket.

That's how it's been for the last week. She didn't leave the house unless it was for school and most times she talked Evie into not letting her go to school.

Kamira just kept saying she was going through a mid-life crisis. When Evie says. "You not even in yo mid-life. You barely in life." Safe to say Evie was ready to whoop her ass.

In reality Kamira was just depressed. Even though she made up with her sister and father... kind of, she felt like she was alone. She hated being around Monty 24/7 now because she felt like she was a burden. She hated that Monty and Dontae were literally the only thing that made her smile lately.

Cordae was there for a little bit. But then after two days he stopped answering texts and never answered calls. Kamira had thought they were building a friendship but now she felt down about that too.

She was really just all over the place. She had so many people surrounding her but she felt so alone.

Kamira sighed threw her head back. She didn't feel like hearing another one of Evie's speeches. "Granny, I just wanna lay around and sit and sulk."

"You needa get up and wash yo ass. I love you baby. But do something with yo self. Go be a teenager or something. Go meet a boy... a good one, shit a bad one too it doesn't even matter anymore." Kamira chuckled shaking her head.

"I'm fine. You know I'm not social like that anyways. I like my own company," she shrugged.

Evie sighed sitting next to her. "Where Monty at? Y'all get into or something. He usually over here or you over there."

"Nothing happened, I'm just distancing myself."

"Why? You seen something you didn't like or something?" Evie asked.

Kamira shook her head. "No, I just feel like I rely on him too much. I'm always with him, feel like I'm holding him back."

"That boy got a slick ass mouth. I'm sure if you was holding him back or even if he was tired of you I'm sure he'd say something," she said making Kamira agree.

"Yea, but I still want to give him some space. He probably can't even get a girlfriend... people always think we together to something," she said scrunching up her face.

"Understandable," Evie nodded. "Well, I gotta go run some errands today so don't tear up or burn down my house."

Kamira chuckled. "Okay... I won't."

"I doubt you'd get off this couch anyways," Evie shook her standing up. "Eat something... healthy, not no junk food either."

"Okay Granny," Kamira laughed.

After Evie left Kamira did exactly what Evie said she was gone do. She sat on that couch and didn't move an inch. She was so into the Toy Story she didn't hear the doorbell that had been going off for the past 5 minutes.

She finally broke out of her trance hearing her phone ring loudly on the side of her. She scrunched up her face looking at the contact name.
