Zelia's pov

I am stood on my balcony, the cool breeze hitting my skin as peered out into the distance. In my hand I hold a letter I've written to Lena. Explaining that she won't see me this year at school. But Lena was always liked, she has other people at Beauxbatons. They stayed away from her because of me.

They were scared of me, they hated me. But they never actually hate 'me' they hated my family. They thought I was this monster so I in my lived up to their expectations.

I slipped the letter into an envelope, licked the edge and sealed it shut. I gave it to my little black owl and watched him fly away into the distance.

"Zelia" I heard my mother's voice call out to me, "Come on Darling, it's time to leave"

"Coming" I shouted back.

When reached the bottom of our stairs, my mother was standing in front of the large wooden doors. When she saw me, a smile appeared on her pink lips, "Here put this on"

"Thank you" I murmured as she held out a cloak to me. As I began putting it on, my father walked into the room.

"Don't put those silly things on," he announced. He hates us wearing them, he likes the stares. It makes him feel powerful.

"Karl! I just want to take Zelia to get her sopping without every eye on us" my mother explained, sadness in her voice. Unlike my father, she hates it. But she won't ever tell him that.

"Why wouldn't you want every eye on you? And you know damn well that if any son of a bitch looked at either of you—" my father looked between me and my mother. "—The wrong way, I'd kill them," he said slowly and clearly, a proud grin on his lips.

"I know you will" my mother forced a smile as she leant up and kissed my father's cheek like she was happy he'd kill for her.

"Very well then," he uttered.

Through a twist of the air, we landed in an alleyway. My mother's hand still holding on to mine as we landed from apparition. I blinked the dizziness away as my mother's hands came to my hood and pulled it over my head. I opened my eyes and a soft smile was on her lips. Almost in apology.

"Make sure you keep this up," she said.

We walked, our arms twisted together as we stepped into the busy crowd. We successfully walked through without being noticed. The crowds were loud, filled with yelling, talking and laughter. Drunk wizards stood outside a pub with beers in their hands. The occasional shoulder would bump into me, causing me to stumble in my step but I kept walking.

One hour had passed and we were about to head back when my mother spotted a shop she wanted to go look in. As we stepped in it was quiet. The silence was almost eerie and I couldn't help but scrunch my nose at the smell of old furniture. But still, the old antiques and furniture were fascinating. I saw a few pieces of jewellery that caught my eye as I walked ahead.

"Tatiana..?" I heard a woman call out, I turned my head in the direction where my mother was.

A woman stood beside my mother, her hair was black with blonde underneath. I didn't recognise her but my mother clearly knew her. I went back to browsing the jewellery but keeping my ears on their conversation.

"Narcissa" mother responded, and she took her hood down. For my mother to remove her hood, Narcissa had do be a friendly face.

They continued in the conversation for a few moments, catching up with one another. Until they came over to me.

"Hello" the women greeted, "you must be Zelia"

"Yes, nice to meet you," I smiled politely.

"You're going to Hogwarts this year?" Narcissa asked.

"Yeah, apparently so," I said with slight sarcasm, it wasn't my choice neither did I particularly want to. Mother discreetly slapped my hand and I could feel her glaring at me, but I just smiled.

"How lovely" Narcissa smiled, "You will be in my sons year, Draco his name is, he is here somewhere, but he always runs off"

"How is Draco?" mother asked Narcissa and ended up in a conversation of their own, I took the opportunity to continue browsing around the shop.

I looked up from the baskets of jewellery when I saw a tall figure walk ahead, a few tables away from me. He walked with his hands in his pockets of his all-black suit. His hair was white, very white. He didn't look keen to be in this shop, instead, he looked bored.

My head turned when I heard mothers conversation again.

"How's Bellatrix?" she asked Narcissa. My attention was now back on their conversation. I remembered Bellatrix. Narcissa must be a Malfoy, I've heard a bit about that faintly, however, I only ever knew Bellatrix.

Mother used to be close with her, father was also very fond of her. She would come other, for meetings with my father and afterwards she would have tea with mother. I would sometimes join them.

She would teach me spells my father wouldn't. She would teach me the spells you shouldn't teach a child but just like father, she thought that was okay. Believed it made me stronger. And it did but took away my innocence.

"She's okay, crazier than ever," Narcissa laughed and then went serious, "although I am growing worried about her"

A few more moments passed and my mother finally called for me, I walked toward them. But as I did I saw the tall blonde walking toward us too. Narcissa placed a kind hand on my arm and said her goodbyes. Mother and I walked out of the shop and my curiosity couldn't help but turn around again. I saw the tall boy now standing with Narcissa. He must have been Draco. He watched as we walked out. But only for a second did I look.
