Alfred was rather content with his new found friends. He wasn't exactly happy, per say, but he was content. He could handle it. He could live. That's what it seemed like. A small spark of hope, welding up in his empty chest. He would get better, life would get better. Alfred glanced over at Ludwig. The two shared a study hall, and it was quite tense.

He was a good person, Alfred reminded himself. They were good people. Even if Ludwig was scary and stern, he was nice. Well, nice enough. Alfred looked back down at his homework and stared at it before deciding he wouldn't do it. It didn't matter if he had a breakdown and didn't live past tonight. Ludwig looked over when he saw Alfred putting away a blank homework sheet,

"Do you know what you're doing Alfred?" He asked "you can't just not do homework. Your grades will fall." He firmly said and looked over at the smaller American. Alfred seemed confused before Ludwig reached over and took Alfreds homework. He began to write formulas and notes on what to do and how do do it before showing Alfred an example problem. Alfred was rather confused as to why Ludwig was doing this but nodded along in agreement

"okay..." he said and looked at the German boy. Ludwig was so fit and nice looking unlike Alfred. Alfred absolutely hated himself and loathed his body. He was so ugly in his eyes. Alfred simply couldn't stand it. Why couldn't he be nice looking like Ludwig? Ludwig was fit and pretty unlike Alfred. Alfred made a face and looked down at himself. Why did they care about someone like Alfred?
