It's currently 9:00 in the morning, and just like yesterday, morning sickness woke me up.

And since I have a scheduled check up today, nag-ayos na ako.

After dressing up, bumaba na ako for breakfast. Naabutan ko si Dad sa dining table at nagkakape. It's currently 9:20 AM. I suddenly remembered how nerve-racking it was when he started talking about my pregnancy last night. Thank God naman at hindi siya nagalit. He's just upset with me for breaking my promise. Sabi niya pa wala naman daw siyang magagawa.

"Oh, may lakad ka?" Sumulyap saakin si Daddy.

"Yes Dad, check up." Naghila ako ng upuan para kumain.

"Do you need a ride?"

"Hindi po. Arck will come with me."

Buti naman at wala akong ayaw na pagkain dito.

It was an uneventful morning. 20 minutes before 10:00 AM, Arck arrived.

"How are you?" He asked without looking at me because he's driving.

"I'm fine." I answered looking outside of the window.

"Do you have to go somewhere after this?" He asked kaya napalingon ako sa kanya.

"Other than the boutique, wala na. Why?" I asked, wondering why he's asking about my schedule.

"I wanna show you something."

"What is it?" Humarap na ako sa kanya.

"It's a secret. You'll know when we get there." He glanced at me and smirked.

Why does this remind me the night of my birthday?

"Are you surprising me again? My birthday is over." I said in a flat tone but I'm actually excited.

"It's not a birthday gift."

"What then?"

"Just.. gift."

Napailing ako. What's with him? Nag-uumpisa na naman akong macurious sa kung ano na naman ang pakulo niya.

The last time he surprised me, it was so good. My dream came true and I felt like I was Rapunzel.  A short haired Rapunzel.

"What about work? Hindi ka ba kailangan doon?"

"It's okay." He answered. Tumango na lang ako.

A few minutes before 10:00 AM nakarating na kami sa clinic. We sat on the waiting area. Marami kaming kasabay na mga buntis din. Some were with their husbands, some were alone. Katulad nitong katabi ko. And she looks young.

"Hi." I greeted her. She smiled sweetly at me but it didn't reached her eyes. Kung titingnan ay wala pa akong napapansing baby bump sa kanya.

"I'm Sym," I offered my hand to her, she accepted it. "You look exhausted, are you fine?"

"I'm not really fine. Anyway, I'm Aris." She smiled again but like earlier, her eyes looked sad.

"Hindi ka nga okay tingnan. I hope you'll be okay soon." I tried to console her. She just flashed a sad smile.
