The afternoon sun had dried up both you and Ben after nearly an hour of resting on the grass. Deciding to make their way back to the castle, you had slid your hand into his along the way up until you reached the terrace entrance. Placing your hand on his inner elbow as Ben had folded his arm, the two of you walked in a comfortable silence as you made your way to your chambers.

A soft smile sat on your lips as you thought about the afternoon you had. You never expected your self in a million years to be secretly in a... relationship with a Jedi... And you liked it. It was so new to you (and to Ben, of course). It was so sudden yet felt so right... There was something about Ben that so easily captivated you and captured your heart–and Ben could feel this from you for he felt the same way.

Arriving to your chambers as the two of you stood before it, you looked up at Ben and smiled, "do you want to come in?"

Sucking in a deep breath, almost unsure if he even should, Ben quietly spoke, "should I?"

"If you'd like..." you nodded, slipping your hand from his arm as you opened the door and taking a step in before looking back at him.

Eyeing the hall, Ben walked in as you took a step aside. Eyeing your room, seeing how grand it was—no surprise seeing it was for a princess—he suddenly felt your hand tug him.

Taking him to your couch as the two of you settled down, Ben's eyes went to your balcony doors that sat before him, seeing the view. Noticing where his focus went, you placed your hand on his knee, "do you ever miss your home? Well... the temple?"

Lowering his focus to you, Ben shook his head, "not really..."

Eyeing him, you lifted your hand and placed it on his cheek, "why's that?"

"Because... you're here and not there," he said with a small grin on his lips, causing you to shyly smile. "And it's beautiful here... plus, I have a huge bed."

Laughing, you lowered your hand to his shoulder as you played with the tips of his hair, "it's a nice bed, huh..."

"Very," he nodded, gazing at you. "Eventually I have to return..."

Feeling yourself pout, you dropped your shoulders, "I like to forget that you won't be here forever."

Lifting his hand and caressing your cheek, he softly spoke, "I will always find a way to see you." Eyeing you and the way you lifted your focus to meet his, Ben nodded, "I have to travel back and forth from time to time for now. I check in with my master via the holo but I know I'll have to physically go eventually."

Taking in a deep breath, you nodded, "I should have known better than to have fallen for you."

"Is that so?" Ben tilted his head, eyes never leaving yours.

"Yes... To love a hero such as yourself who protects the galaxy..." shifting yourself, you rested your head on his shoulder, "I selfishly want you for myself."

Feeling his heart skip a beat, Ben's lips curled into a smile. The way he had won your heart, how he captivated you and made you feel something you had never felt for anyone else... he couldn't help but feel proud. He couldn't help but feel thankful.

Sighing as you shut your eyes for a moment, a sudden knock on your door caused you to quickly stand up. "Shoot..."

"What— What do I do?" Ben asked as he looked up at you.
