You Will Always Be Her Hero

A few days later Data asks Dezirae to join him as he transports to Sarjenka's homeworld Drema 4 "hi Miles"  Dezirae says as she enters the transporter room with Data and Riker "hi Dez"  O'Brien replies with a smile "O'Brien, take a nap you didn't see any of this you're not involved"  Riker orders "right, sir I'll just standing over here, dozing off"  O'Brien replies as he walks over to the corner of the room and he smiles with a wink when he hears Dezirae chuckle as she walks onto the transporter pad "Data, you've got ten minutes that's it if you meet anybody but Sarjenka...."  Riker orders "I will signal for immediate beam out"  Data replies as he takes Dezirae's hand in his then they get transported off the ship.... Dezirae looks around her with interest at the structure they arrived at as Data takes out his tricorder and scans the area gently dragging her along as he starts walking.... he has yet to let go of her hand.... "this looks like someone's bedroom"  Dezirae says softly Data looks at her then they hear a soft rumbling come from outside and he starts walking towards a bare wall taking her with him Dezirae lifts her hand and the part of the wall they were standing by disappears revealing a dark volcanic red atmosphere and they cautiously start to walk out of the room Data grips Dezirae's waist as the ground starts to shake slightly he backs into the room taking her with him and she closes the door the same way she opened it "Data.... someone's outside!"  Dezirae says softly as he stares at a statute on a table he turns as they hear a soft humming and see a small girl standing on the other side of the door which was beginning to open yet again and the girl rushes inside not even noticing that she has company "Sarjenka?"  Data asks the girl turns around then starts to run back outside "wait! I am Data"  Data says "Data Data, you came"  Sarjenka replies happily as she turns around and looks at him with a smile on her face and slides her hands down his arms then she asks "Data, where have you been?"  Data replies "it would take too long to explain you and your family must leave"  Sarjenka says "we already have we ran when the tremors began"  Data asks "then why are you here?"  Sarjenka replies "my father wouldn't let us take anything, but I had to have my transmitter I knew you would come back, and I didn't want you to find only silence, the way I did"  Data asks "I am sorry for that, but it is very complicated does your family know where you are?"  Sarjenka replies "no"  Data says as he walks over and looks out the open door at the view on the other side "you cannot survive in this"  the ground shakes once again making the three of them almost lose their footing Dezirae looks at Data and says softly "Data we should take her back to her family"  Sarjenka looks at her curiously and asks "who are you!?!"  Data replies "this is Dezirae and we are not leaving her here"  Sarjenka's eyes widen in surprise "you're Dezirae!?!.... you are as pretty as he said!!"  Dezirae smiles kindly at her "what are we going to do?"  Sarjenka asks Data who closes the door "we shouldn't take her from her family Data if she goes missing for too long they will come looking for her and that could also put them in danger"  Dezirae says calmly Data ignores her as he turns around walks over to the woman and child presses his combadge and says "Enterprise, three to beam up"  he looks down at Sarjenka and says "you must come with me"  Sarjenka asks "where are we going?"  Data points his finger upwards Sarjenka looks up and asks "to the stars?"  Data nods he moves Sarjenka so that she stands with her body pressed up against his and they get transported to the Enterprise though Dezirae gets left behind mainly because she fights the transporter beam making it so it cannot lock on her.... "where'd she go!?!"  Sarjenka asks Data once they are aboard the Enterprise Data looks around him and sees that Dezirae is not with them and he becomes worried he started to think that because he didn't take ahold of her hand as he always did she didn't get brought aboard not to mention she didn't have a communicator because she was not an official member of Starfleet he looks at O'Brien who was busy trying to find the signal he had made himself memorize and kept within the computer logs ever since Dezirae first boarded without their knowledge and/or permission O'Brian looks at Data and shrugs "it's like she doesn't exist.... but I'll keep trying"  Data nods then asks as he keeps focused on the task at hand and the girl he could save and he walks her off the teleportation pad "where is Commander Riker?"  O'Brien replies "on the Bridge"  Data starts to walk out of the transporter room and O'Brien asks "where are you going?"  Data stops walking turns and replies as though it was obvious "to the Bridge"  O'Brien asks "and you're going to take that?"  Data looks down at Sarjenka who looks up at Data and begs "don't leave me here please don't leave me"  Data looks at O'Brien and replies "quite impossible"  then they walk off and O'Brien gets back to work trying to lock on his supposedly non-existent friend
