Ch. 17

Melanie's POV:

I woke up to hear the boys out in the living room.

I just rolled over and grabbed my phone. I was just minding my business when I got a call from Ruby.

"Yo"

"You wanna come over we haven't seen you in a couple days?"

"Yeah I can come over at like" I looked at the time on my phone it's 10:47. "3. That sound good?"

"Yeah that's fine."

"Okay bye Ruby."

"Bye."

A few minutes after I got off the phone with Ruby, Cesar walked in.

"So you're not mad anymore?" I asked.

"Nah none of us are mad anymore."

"Good to know. Well I'm going to Ruby's later."

"I haven't talked seen him or the others in forever."

"Then why don't you come with me?"

"Maybe. What time you going?"

"At 3."

"Yeah I'll let you know."

"Okay." Cesar said then left the room.

I got changed into this and did minimal makeup.

Once I was finished getting ready Oscar came in.

He came up to me and gave me a peck on the lips.

"Hey." I said and he sat down on my vanity chair.

"So what'd you do last night?"

I sighed. "Nothing really I went to a party up in Brentwood with my friend Jade. She dipped on me at the party so I left and came back here."

He laughed. "You need better friends."

"Not really. But I'm going to go see Ruby, Jamal, and Monse later. I don't know if Cesar's going with me or not."

"Damn avoiding me and shit."

I got up and straddled his lap. "Not even close." I kissed him.

"You good?" He asked.

"Yeah why?"

"Nothing you just seem more tense than usual."

"Why do you think I'm tense?" I questioned.

"I can just feel it." He shook his head. "You hiding something?"

I felt bad because I was but I just didn't want to talk about it. "No I'm not hiding anything."
