Thank you so much for including me! Hello!

Q. Madison, last season you had expressed your disgust for the afternoon. Is there any particular reason you dislike it so much?

Oh, well, I feel as though I am my least productive in the afternoon. It is a very lethargic time of day.

Q. Do you use any special writing software? If so what is it, and what are a few of your favorite perks of using it?

I don’t, no. I just use Google Docs, which is a good tool because all your work is automatically saved and you don’t have to worry about losing it.

Q. If you had the opportunity to live anywhere in the world for a year while writing a book that took place in that same setting, where would you choose and why?

Venice, absolutely. One of my side projects takes place in Venice. Not only would my Italian degree prove useful, I would also be able to do so much research and just fall into Venetian culture.

Q. What is your most unusual writing quirk?

I’m so boring, I don’t think I have any unusual quirks. At least, nothing is coming to mind.

Q. Madison, are you still in University or have you completed your course?

I have two more semesters at university! I’ll be graduating in spring 2021.

Q. What does being a successful author look like to you?

To me, being a successful author means that I would be able to write full-time. My books would be able to reach and bring joy to lots of people.

Q. What was the most surprising thing you discovered while writing your story As the Crow Flies?

The most surprising thing was how many different directions the story could have gone in. It was a challenge to pinpoint exactly where I wanted to take the characters. Being an author means you make a lot of decisions, albeit fictional decisions, and the whole process of writing was a journey of figuring out what was best for the story.

Q. How do you think being a writer has helped you as a person?

I think that being a writer has made me a lot more open-minded as a person. I’m a lot more willing to see things through the eyes of others, because now I know how important various perspectives and experiences are.

Q. Are you working on anything at the present you would like to share with your readers about?

I am! Currently on Wattpad, I have a book called The Viper and The Vasser. It is a dark, twisted re-imagining of Alice in Wonderland. I’m having so much fun with it. It’s a wild adventure through a dangerous land, with all your favorite Wonderland characters appearing in various ways.

Q. Madison it's been a year since you talked with us, what have you been up to since then?

My biggest project over the last year has been to work on my blog. It can be found at madisonsiwak.com. I’m really proud of this project, because it is more of a community blog, rather than something just for myself. Every other day, I post either an article written by a guest or an interview with an author. I hope to grow this platform even more in the future!
