Hey everyone, welcome to the first installment of Did you know, the place where I certainly test your knowledge. But I'm even opened for corrections and additional information. Anywho, this month's pick is of an obsession I've had since meeting a late and distant cousin as a child. I LOVE Scotland and even though I already knew a bit about the country I wanted to know more, so, join me on this historical journey!

The Flag
I've always loved the color of the flag but like any other country, colors mean something and I wanted to know what it meant and this is what I've learned.
The Flag of Scotland is a Saint Andrew's cross, the style of a cross on which Scotland's patron saint - Saint Andrew - was crucified. Supposedly, the blue and white originate from a medieval battle between the Scots and Picts, and Germanic settlers.
