Since Ain was awake now, I gave T her bed back. As much as I still wanted to be next to him, I didn't want to make T sleep on the floor anymore. She wouldn't let me do that even if I asked. She'd say it was worth it, because we were her brothers. Still, T deserved to sleep in an actual bed again.

It was almost lunchtime when I got up today. I went to Ain and T's room cuz I wanted to see he was doing, and I knew the others would probably want him to eat soon. That'd be a good time for me to eat, too, since I just woke up and all.

I wasn't going to get to their room, though.

I saw Ain trying to walk by leaning on one of the walls. His legs were shaking, and his face was all sweaty. He was breathing hard, too. It wouldn't take that long for other people to figure out that something really bad just happened.

His daddy found him before I did, though. Uncle put one of Ain's arms around his neck. "Honestly, son... Sometimes, you and your mom are too stubborn for your own good."

I followed them into the kitchen. Uncle helped Ain into a chair while Marshall and Recah watched.
