Character's Speaking - Name:

Narrator: Maddie and Tay are twins. But here's the twist. When Tay was one month old she was taken away from her family. The twins then lived 127 miles apart.

(open scene, house scene)(Mother, Father)

Mother: Oh aren't they cute?

Father: Oh, yes they're adorable!

Narrator: One month later...

Mother: No don't take her. (in a weak and breathless voice.)

Father: At least give us something in return. (hopeful voice)

Robber: Here. (tosses a bag full of money)(Robber leaves)

Mother: Oh, Dear. (scene ends)

Narrator: That is the disgraceful story that unfolds it all. Now, five years have passed and the lives of both twins aren't going well. (house scene)(Tay and Robbers)

Robbers: What are you doing?

Tay: Nothing.

Robbers: Don't lie to us filthy pile of rubbish.

Tay: Fine, you idiots.

Robbers: Disgraceful, Disgraceful.

Tay: And always will be.

Robbers: Would you like to live without us and be homeless.

Tay: Certainly.

Robbers: Fine then we leave in five minutes.

Tay(surprised): Ok, then I'll be waiting.

Narrator: Five minutes later... (Car Screeches to a stop)

Robber: Bye kid. (Throws Tay and her stuff out and leaves at full speed)

Tay: Well here we go. (walks off stage and into the crowd) Oh, what am I ever going to do? What do you even do when you're homeless? (Tay exits)(Maddie, Mother, Father; house scene)

Father: Maddie, go do your chores, now, please.

Maddie: No, I don't want to! (Maddie squealed)

Mother: Maddie, listen to your Father.

Maddie: No, no, no!!! (Stomps her foot)

Mother: Maddie stop acting like you're 5!

Maddie: But I am 5!!! (Runs out of the scene)

Mother: What has gotten into that child?

Father: It's because her sister is gone, remember how she was so quiet and gentle the first month and then terrible up to now? And I mean she still is.

Mother: Uh, children their all so much work and so confusing.

Father: Always?

Mother: Always. (scene ends)(school scene)(Lily, Beth, Olivia, Mia)

Lily: Hey, guys.

Olivia: You guys excited for school?

Mia: Especially cause it's the last day!

Beth: July is coming.

Mia: Hi July, how are you?

July: I don't have much time but I have to tell you this.

Olivia: What do you have to tell us, July?

July: Be careful, don't go beyond the door of Mr. Shamburg's room.

Lily: What the heck?

July: Well, see you later, bye! (July leaves skipping away)

Beth: What was that?

Olivia: I don't know.

Lily: Me either.

Mia: Well... (The bell rings) It's time to go, see you later, guys!

Lily, Beth, Olivia: Bye!! (Scene ends)(Maddie)(House scene)

Television: Welcome back, I am your reporter Karen Holster here from Fox News. Breaking news has happened at Coldwater HighSchool in Holdton, Massachusetts. There has been a discovery of something called, the door that leads to beyond. Some students have gone through and never returned. This started to appear on Monday, and today's turn of classes has made even more students go through this door.

Television: That is all for now on Fox News on your Tuesday night.

Maddie: That's close to where I live! But maybe I shouldn't go, yeah, not right now. Why do I always feel like I am missing a part of me? Maybe I'll never know.

(off scene)Mother: Maddie! Come and clean your room this instant! It is a disaster in here!

Maddie: Yes Mother. (slouches off scene)(Michael, Anthony, Ethan, Noah, Nate, Abby, Opal)

Michael: What was that all about?

Anthony & Ethan: I don't know.

Opal & Abby: Us either.

Nate: I don't know about you guys but I and Noah are going to go get ice cream.

Noah: To celebrate the last day of school and all.

Nate: Anyone else wanna come?

Opal: I and Abby will come.

Abby: As long as I don't have to pay. (All laugh)

Ethan: Why don't we all just go?

Everyone (but Ethan & Anthony): Sure!

Anthony: Then let's go!

(Author's Note) And they were never seen again, the end. Another play with a warning about a teacher in it from a student! Seriously, when will these plays stop repeating themselves!
