I recall telling Cora about Troy for the first time, and became very interested in learning more about him.

“I've seen your latest Instagram post, was it because of him?” Cora made fun of me.

“It was Doc Troy.

“Did you know he was an ex-boyfriend of mine?”

When Cora said it, I was taken aback. I know we've talked about our ex-boyfriends before, but I completely forgot that one of hers was called Troy.

“I've already told you about him, nakalimutan mo na yata, he was my first ex-boyfriend,” she says.

Damn! First ex-boyfriend?

“He's my first love.”

Another damn!

“And we actually have met again sa ospital na pinagtatrabahuan ni'yo.”

HAAA?”

Hotdog.”

I instantly stopped Cora when she got up. Yeah, I was interested in hearing more. Gusto ko pang makilala si Doctor Troy.

“So, gusto mong ilakad kita sa kanya?”

Well, he did! Napansin niya nga ako sa ospital. Pero, kinakausap niya lang pala ako to get updated with my best friend's life. I initially mistook him for still being interested in Cora, but after working with him, I realized that Cora holds a special place in his heart, but he no longer loves her.

“You still have ten minutes left, can we spent it getting to know each other?” he asked.

“Since we're not in the hospital, can we drop the honorifics? Can I call you Zella?”
