Carlo's POV

We're back at school after trying to recover from the mess two days ago, but things are already screwing with my brain. I felt tired and I regret staying over Haku's place and regret chugging down some energy drinks before bed. She didn't have a hammock like what I usually use. Plus, I thought I cracked open a juice bottle, not my energy drink. So basically, I didn't sleep last night. Heck, I haven't even told her yet! Groaning, I slammed my head on my table, probably catching everyone's attention but I couldn't care less.

"Everyone! Go back to your seats! It's time for homeroom!" Iida said loudly. Jeez... I think I'm going to die today... "We're already in our seats. You're the only one left." Sero spoke and I snickered a bit, raising my head from my desk despite the fact that I really wanted to pass out. As Iida sat down at his seat, I wondered what would happen today without Aizawa-- "Good morning, class." "Mr. Aizawa?! You're back already?!" Everyone screamed in shock and worry as our teacher, who is covered in that bandage wrap-thing, walks towards the center of the room. My heart sank as guilt tried to seep in but I shook it off. H-He's a hero! This is his work.

"Mr. Aizawa! You're alright!" Iida stated and I just looked at him in disbelief. "Can you really call that alright?" Ura said softly, to which I agree to. The man is a walking mummy, for goodness sake! "My well being shouldn't be your concern. After all, your battle hasn't really ended yet." The man said and I was confused. Hasn't ended? "The battle?" "You don't mean..!" "MORE VILLAINS?!" Mineta's screeching hurts more than expected as my brain is trying to keep up with the new information being thrown at us.

"Yuuei's sports festival is approaching, everyone." Aizawa said. "OH, YEAH! THIS IS A SCHOOL!" Everyone, including myself, gasped. After the USJ incident, it really clouded the past lessons in my memory, and I think it that to my fellow classmates too. I groaned because my head started spinning "Wait, hold up! That sounds like something villains would try to infiltrate, isn't it? Will it be alright?" Someone asked. I couldn't recognize who anymore with this headache. Stupid energy drink...! Can't I crash later and not now?!

"With the school still continuing the event, it means that the school is confident on managing any crisis that could occur and keep it under control." Aizawa said. "They said that they would be beefing up the security this year. What you should think about is that the opportunities this festival is going to offer you and your future. This isn't some event you can just cancel because of villains." He explained and Mineta spoke shakily, trying to find a way to cancel it or get away.

"Mineta, our sports festival became the replacement of the old Olympics back in the day!" I spoke, making sure to catch his attention. "The country's top heroes will be watching us! They would be scouting us to work under them!" Momo added. Scouting. I forgot about that...! My heart was thumping against my chest. Excitement? Nervousness? Or the 2 huge bottles of energy drinks I drank last night? Either way, I couldn't help but think what would the event be like in person. Since, ya know, I'm not allowed to go with my mom when she goes to the festival because I am a secret to society--

"Naturally, entering a squad of a famous hero will get you higher status and more experience. Remember, time is limited. If you catch the eye of a pro, your future as one would be brighter. You can only get this chance once a year. Making the total of three chances. If you aim to be a hero, this is a chance you can't overlook." Our mummified teacher said and I couldn't help but feel pumped up.

Time skip to lunch break~

We just finished our modern literature class and it's finally break time. I skipped to Kirishima and the others to hang out with them for a bit. "I knew it was coming but... Now I feel the tension is really high!" Kirishima said "If we put in the effort and stand out to a Pro, it'll be a huge step forward!" Sato continued. "Now that the festival is near, we have to train ourselves to ensure a spot." Tokoyami said and I groaned. "I'm gonna die...! My mom would train me to the bone again!" I whined and Sero chuckled. "That intense? How though?" He asked and I looked at him straight in the eyes. "Look man, when your mom is a Pro and you want to be one too, you bet your ass she would train you--" I stopped, suddenly realizing my words. "Your mom's a Pro?!" They (except for Kiri) shouted, catching the attention of the others inside the class.
