~Chapter 13~

Both of you sat there in silence, not saying or doing anything, Loki shifted slightly, whether it was because he was uncomfortable sitting in that position, or with the awkward silence that fell among you both was unknown. You looked down at your hands, now not feeling brave enough to even look at him, Loki cleared his throat, making you hesitantly look up at him, his eyes locked with yours

"You didn't have to do that." he said plainly, his eyes never leaving yours, you kept his gaze, trying your hardest not to burst out crying

"They had no right to be rude." you spoke quietly, scared that your voice would betray you

"They always are, I didn't need you to stand up for me." His voice still held no emotion, though the truth was he wanted nothing more than to hold you against his own body and thank you

"I was agreeing to your idea, and yes I did have to say something, they were acting like children, and you clearly weren't going to say anything, and so they would of carried on." you spoke sternly, feeling more confident as you said each word, Loki looked at you, trying to see if you were lying

"Thank you. " now it was his turn to speak quietly, you smiled softly

"You don't deserve their rubbish Loki, you're so much better than them." he smiled at your words, already feeling better about himself

"Perhaps you would like to join me today, we could discover more of Asgard?" he regretted asking you immediately, feeling stupid for letting his emotions get the best of him, he wanted you to say yes, he wanted to spend the day with you, his eyes flickered down to the scarf you still had wrapped around your neck, it was him that did that to you, he reminded himself. Not Thor, or anyone else in the nine realms

"I would love to." you didn't even get to think before the words left your mouth, you regretted it instantly, it probably made you sound desperate, which to be perfectly honest you were. A grin appeared on his face, he offered you his arm which you happily took, it felt natural, and you hoped things would be mended after today. You let Loki lead you away from the Palace, silence fell upon the two of you, and you decided now was the time to speak

"Loki." immediately he looked down at you, the wind blowing his hair into his face a little
"I'm sorry." you spoke clearly but looked away, afraid you might of just ruined the day

"For what?" he asked, a confused look taking over his features, you too shared that look, wondering how he could not know what you were talking about

"I should not have kissed Thor, there was no excuse for what I did, but know I did not do it willingly nor did I expect such actions on his behalf. I hope you can forgive me, for I am truly sorry." You looked up at him, his face was unreadable

"Were here." he gestured in front of him, looking up, you were met with a huge forest, wondering how you ended up here you turned around, vines hung down from the cave's lip, acting as a curtain. Turning back to the forest, the trees stood tall, little lanterns decorating their branches, water pooled around the roots, shimmering in the small amount of sunlight that shone through an opening in the cave. Moss covered the floor, small flowers resting in it, vines tangled and wrapped around rocks and trees.

Loki watched your amazed face, your eyes were wide as you took everything in, as you marveled at your surroundings, he marveled at you. there was no one in all the nine realms and beyond that he loved more than you, not even his mother.

"It's gorgeous." you said breathlessly, Loki took your hand, leading you deeper into the forest, both of you sat on a smooth rock, he kept your hand in his playing with your fingers

"The only ring you will ever have on your finger is the one I will buy you." you looked at him, thinking he was joking but saw how serious he really was, his statement caught you off guard, he pulled you closer to himself, making you straddle his waist
"Your mine and only mine." he whispered into your ear, sending shivers down your spine, you moved back slightly looking into his eyes

"Does this mean you forgive me?" you asked grinning, his lips met yours in a hungry manner, his hand came up to your waist, holding you firmly

"Only this time." he said, now he too smirked as he spoke, pressing his lips back against yours, your hands came up to his hair, gripping it tightly, making him groan a little, both of you pulled away to breath, smiling like idiots. You stayed together for the rest of the day, only when the sun started to go down did you both return to the Palace, hand in hand. Both of you stealing glances at each other, you went all the secret ways Loki knew so not to be seen, eventually you stood in front of your chamber, still holding Loki's hand tightly

"I wish I could stay with you." Loki said, caressing your face softly with the back of his hand, you turned to him, smiling softly

"I wish you could too." you replied, sad that he would have to leave, but still happy that you and him had fixed things, even if he was still jealous about what happened. Loki pushed you against the wall, his lips meeting your, his hand rested on your waist, the other cupping the side of your face. The kiss was passionate, one that made time slow down and come to a stop, with the world spinning around you, your arms hung around his neck, both your bodies flush against each other. He pulled away for air, looking you in the eyes, before pressing his lips against yours again, his tongue exploring every inch of your mouth, you knew it was risky, anyone could walk past and see you, but the thrill of it made you want more, Loki's fingers tangled in your hair, making you moan quietly, you could feel Loki smirk against your lips, your hand reached out for the door handle, sliding it against the wood, you could hear footsteps but Loki didn't seem to care, you assumed it was just the guards switching shifts.

"Lad-Y/N? Loki?" you heard Thor's voice, quickly pushing Loki off you, who let you go, but still stayed close to you. Thor held a look of confusion and betrayal on his face, you swallowed, dreading what would happen next.
