H E N R I E T T A

We stayed at the man's house for the next few hours. Naghihintay ng signal ng Academy sa sunod na gagawin.

"Maybe they'll send a car or whatever." Nekessa said. Halata ang pagkabigo sa boses nito.

"To pick us up," She added.

", to go back to the Academy." Dugtong niya pa.

"Because we failed." Nekessa, once again, said as if emphasizing what happened.

Victoria shot her a dagger look. "Come on, Nekessa. It's not like we always fail."

"And yet, we failed to this." Nekessa said as a matter of fact in her tone.

Victoria wanted to answer but instead, she just rolled her eyes. Napa-iling nalang si Clyde at Blake na nakikinig rin sa dalawa. Si Harper ay nagpapahinga na sa taas dahil na rin sa pagod.

I sighed. Ilang oras na kaming naririto at nag-aabang sa tawag ng Academy. We already sent them our message telling them we failed. Pero ilang oras na ay wala pa rin silang sagot.

I looked at my wrist watch.

8:54 PM

"I don't think they'll answer tonight. We should sleep." I said.

Victoria stoop up from her seat, and nodded. "I'm sleepy. I should sleep." She said as she headed her way to the room beside the owner's room.

Ang lalakeng may-ari ng bahay ay may pinuntahan raw sa bayan. I insisted to go with him a while ago, but Dawson didn't let me.

"Me too." Clyde said. Sumunod na rin si Blake, kaya naiwan kami ni Nekessa at Dawson rito. Nekessa, with her unusual aura and Dawson, ofcourse with his usual aura.

"You two should sleep." Matapos ng ilang minutong katahimikan ay nagsalita si Dawson.

Ilang segundo pa bago sumagot si Nekessa. "I think I should. I'm stress. We had so much for today."

Nekessa tapped my shoulder and went off. Hinabol ko nalang siya ng tingin hanggang sa makapasok ito sa kwarto. She keeps lamenting about what happened. Lahat naman siguro sila ay nanghihinayang lalo na nang malaman namin na naroroon nalang kami sa Myrith at hindi pa namin sila natunugan.

I sighed. Tumayo ako mula sa pagkakaupo. Dawson stared at me, questioning.

"I'll walk for a moment." I said. It's not like I need to inform him, though. Handa na sana akong umalis roon nang tumayo rin si Dawson. Tiningnan ko siya ng nagtatanong.

"Okay then." Mahinang sabi nito. "I'll go with you."

I open my mouth to talk but I realized the finality in his voice was obvious. Sasama siya kahit sabihin kong 'wag siyang sumama.

I rolled my eyes at the thought. Naglakad na ako palabas ng bahay na iyon at naramdaman ko ang pagsunod ni Dawson sa likod. I used my ability to at least clean the way that were messed by bushes.

Nang nakalabas na mula sa mga bushes na nakaharang sa daan ay nagsimula na rin akong maglakad-lakad. Madilim na at tanging tunog gubat lang ang naririnig sa paligid. However, the moonlight was bright.

I felt Dawson beside me. Tahimik kami ng ilang minutong paglalakad.

"Funny how we went to Myrith and we didn't even saw their shadows." I said, not sounding like I actually had fun.
