Cyan's POV

The time on the Jet-skis goes by quicker than I'd hoped. We'd spent an hour out together with Luca teaching me and I'd gotten the hang of driving it after we'd switched seats. It was like driving a motorbike but with more awareness of the waves instead of constant oncoming traffic. By the end of the hour, I knew my way around the ocean close to the dock and I felt ready to go back and get the other jetski. Luca insisted it was even more fun since there was less weight and therefor it was easier to control with one person.

Before making our way back, Luca asks me a billion times whether I am sure I'm ready and as I pull up to the dock I'm ready to kick him off of my jet-ski for being so annoyingly protective. Jokingly of course. He had actually been a great teacher.

Another hour passes as we both race each other on the jet-skis. I proudly keep up with his speed and tricks until he starts hitting bigger waves head on. I roll my eyes and stick my tongue out at him when he circles back to me.

Show off.

Luca comes to a slow and brings his phone out for a text before signalling me to follow slowly. We pull up to a sectioned off area which is designed for boats to pull into the beach and I realize we are close to the Diner's area of the beach. We don't go all the way to the shore but once we are close enough I see Lea and Ethan jogging their way into the water. I wave excitedly and Luca uses the current to grab my jet-ski by his so that they don't drift apart.

I pop off of the jet-ski as Lea and Ethan approach,  taking a much needed dip into the ocean. The sun was blazing and my thick hair would do a good job in keeping me cool once it was wet.

"Cyan!!! No fair you promised we would go in my time off this week." Lea says but she doesn't really sound mad when she hugs me. Ethan climbs onto the jet-ski I'd been on after he greets me with a side hug.

"Hey man!" He gives Luca a fist bump before helping Lea onto their jet-ski. Although my time alone with Luca had been fun I was glad he had texted them to join us. I look up at the shack and see that poor Trent has been left alone. He doesn't look unhappy but still.

Luca's tap on my shoulder pulls me out of my thoughts and I take his helping hand onto the Jet Ski. The morning comes and goes and soon enough we are each pulling back to the dock after leaving Lea and Ethan back at the beach. Luca gets out first and helps me off the jet-ski and onto the dock before securing both jet skis

He hands me my phone out of the waterproof bag and I unlock it to look at the time. It's already almost two in the afternoon and my stomach rumbles in protest. I hadn't realized that we had been out and about for that long.

"I can't believe it's already this late" I say, locking the phone and handing it back to him. I had a missed call from my mum but that could wait.

"I know. Time flies when you are having fun." He says, taking the phone and putting it back in the bag.

"So what's next?" I ask hoping the answer is food.

"Patience?" He chuckles and I roll my eyes.

"I'm not very patient when I'm hungry." I grumble earning another laugh.

Luca finishes covering the jet-skis and we take the life jackets off. He smoothly takes my left hand in his right one and tugs on me to follow him. I find myself allowing him to drag me down the dock by the hand but instead of walking back to the car he walks further into the dock to where the small boats and yachts are docked. He seems to remember something and comes to a stop.
