Cyan's POV

I was mad. Mad? More like furious. Not because of the massive beer stain on my dress or because of the awful smell it was causing. I was mad because it was clear to me that he had done it on purpose. You don't just 'trip' whilst standing still. Why he would purposefully spill his beer all over me?

"I-I'm sorry," His lame attempt at an apology was even more pitiful.

"Are you really." Under my breath, the words leave my lips before I can contain them and I know he heard them loud and clear. I roll my eyes and sigh, "Its ok," I say, my voice more cheerful than before, aware that there are other people there. I turn to Lea.

"I think I should have something to change into in the bag I left in the truck." She nods in understanding and throws the keys my way. Catching them swiftly I turn on my heal and start making my way back down the path.

I was so lost in thought that I hadn't heard the footsteps following at first.. I turn and see Trent trailing behind, his hands in his pockets as he walks, head down.

I stop to see if he will realize and when he does he is only two steps away from me. He looks up and opens his mouth to say something but decides against it. He carries on walking and I join him.

"You could have just walked beside me to start off with you know." I say finally.

"Yeah...just you seemed lost in your own thought." He gives me a small smile and falls into pace beside me.

"True," I nod in agreement and we continue down the path in silence. Unlike with Luca, the silence isn't comfortable so i try and come up with something to say.

"So, Lea filled me in on what happened yesterday." He beats me to it and when I glance his way I notice he seems a little nervous. "Are you ok? I saw the bruise earlier and it seemed pretty bad."

See, this was a normal reaction. Not punching a post in anger.  "Yeah I'm ok. A lot better now than last night actually. It was just uncomfortable to sleep since I usually sleep on that side." I answer honestly.

He nods his head in acknowledgment and smiles. We are by the car now so I unlock it and retrieve the spare beach dress from the back before we start making our way back to the others.

" Will you be going to dinner later? Lea wasn't really clear about what was happening today." He shrugs, his prominent muscles flexing under the loose t-shirt he had thrown on. I find myself admiring him for a second and immediately feel guilty.

What, I'm not blind. The guy has a nice body .... I ignore the guilty feeling settling in my stomach, aware that it shouldn't be there in the first place.

"I'm not really sure what the plan is either." I answer honestly, chuckling. Only once I say it do I realize how unlike me that sounds. Back at home I had always liked to know what was happening before hand. I had always found it particularly hard to go with the flow when my life had been so occupied with my studies, work and family responsibilities.

Feels good to be free... I think to myself.

"Although to be honest, after last night I'm not sure I am up for it. I might just want to relax and call it an early night." I finish off.

He nods in acknowledgement, "Well if you are going later, I'm free. Lea said you needed a date," he shrugs and his lips tilt upwards into a cheeky smile. His smile was cute.

But not as cute as Luca's dimpled smile....

I try to ignore that thought and laugh instead, focusing on the conversation, "Yeah well Lea shouldn't speak for me. I agreed to find someone to be my fake date because she was nervous about her own date. " I explain.
