I  had been sitting outside on the chair for a couple of minutes, contemplating my options. I had checked for any open windows but, of course, I'd made sure to close them before I left. My options were limited. I could either swallow my pride and knock on Luca's  door or go to the diner and ask his parents to let me call Lea. I wasn't sure which option was worse out of the two.

I summon up all of my courage and decide to swallow my pride. I was tired and didn't really feel like walking all the way to the Diner. I grab my back and make my way around to Luca's front step. Bringing my hand up, I fold it into a fist and knock lightly. I receive no answer so I wait a couple of seconds before knocking a little louder. This time, I hear the feint sound of footsteps approaching before I hear the door being unlocked.

As the door swings open, I'm ready to apologize and to ask to use the phone but when I come face to face with a naked Luca, an incomprehensible sound leaves my dry lips instead "Eeeep!" I turn around while shutting my eyes tight to face away from his half naked figure

Ok -  so maybe he wasn't completely naked. But the small towel wrapped around his waist didn't cover much up. The not-so-shy part of me is disappointed at me for turning away before getting a better look. Thankfully, my cheeks can't get any redder than they already had been from the sun.

I can hear Luca's amused laugh behind me and it does nothing to help me. "Miss me already?" He doesn't keep the amusement out of his voice and I roll my eyes even though he can't see. I can just picture his cocky look as he leans against the door with only the towel.... Don't go there Cyan.

"As if!" I huff and manage to keep my voice even. " Why would you answer the door half naked?" With my eyes still closed, I turn back to him.

"I'm wearing a towel." He says matter-of-factly.

"Exactly." I huff. Crossing my arms. I can only imagine how strange I must look to him. I don't think being sassy works when your eyes are shut tight.

Instead of answering me, I can hear his footsteps retreating into the house. He doesn't shut the door but doesn't invite me in either. I open my eyes and catch only a small glimpse of his torso before it disappears into one of the rooms, closing the door behind him.

The layout was similar to the house I was staying in but the kitchen was filled with light brown wooden decor. The breakfast bar separated it from the sitting room which consisted of two large grey couches which matched the color of the sitting room walls and a white TV unit with a large flat screen TV hung up n the wall.

I stand there, unsure if I am expected to go in or stay at the door. It feels awkward to wait but I felt like stepping in would be rude. He appears only a minute later wearing a black T-shirt with loose basketball shorts.

"Are you going to come in?" He raises his eyebrows, walking into the kitchen. "Water?" He asks, but pulls two glasses out and fills them up without waiting for an answer.

"Uh- ye thanks." I walk in and close the door behind me, placing the bag down on the floor by the door. I walk in and awkwardly take a seat at the breakfast bar, taking a sip of the water he offered.

"So to what do I owe the pleaaaassssure of this visit?" He drags the word out purposefully making me roll my eyes. I match his sarcastic tone with my own fake smile.

"Well, you see." I pause and meet putting on my most convincing expression. "I kind of left my keys in Lea's glove compartment. In her car," I elaborate, "and well my phone is out of battery, and I locked all the windows so its not like I can break into the house...,"I know I'm rambling so I stop, placing my phone down on the counter and glare at the stupid device, "So would you mind helping me contact your cousin so she can bring my keys before they start their 'date'?" I breath out
