I exited my house and patiently waited for Zach to come pick me up..
It's mid June.. The weather is sunny.. It looks beautiful here...it's also the last week of school.. Finals are next week..
He said he wanted to ask me something.. I felt anxious..
I nervously bounced my leg up and down, while looking around, trying to spot his car.
Eventually, I saw his car pull up in the driveway.. I took a deep breath and headed towards him..
"Hey"
I said with a small smile as I hopped in the passenger's seat.. He shyly smiled back and leaned in, for a hug.
I hesitantly hugged him back, feeling slightly uncomfortable.
He pulled back and smiled, as he cupped my face.
"I've been wanting to ask you this question from the first time I started talking to you.."
He said, making me gulp.. Please don't tell me he-..
"Gabriella Kelly.."
He paused and took a deep breath..
"Will you be my girlfriend?"
I sat there, my jaw fell open, making an "o" shape.. There's no way in hell he just did that.. Am I dreaming..?
I pulled his hand off me, as I stepped back, my back hitting the car door.
He stared at me... Confused..
"W-what..?"
I stuttered.. He opened his mouth to speak.. But no words could come out.. He looked embarrassed..
"So I guess that's a no.."
He mumbled, breaking eye contact with me..
I mean did he really think that I was going to say yes..?
I got out of a very serious relationship one month ago.. Is he out of his mind..?
"I'm sorry Zach.. But.. I can't.. You're a great kid.. It's just.."
"You're still in love with Mattia..?"
He spat.. As if he stole the words out of my mouth.. I slightly bit the inside of my cheek.
I slowly nodded making him sigh and dig his face in his hands..
"You're pathetic"
He said shaking his head..
"What-"
"He broke your fucking heart, get over it"
He interrupted me and I had the urge to slap him, but I didn't.
"How do you even know what happened between me and him..?"
I questioned and he let out a small chuckle..
"Violet told me everything.. And great.. Now I lost the fucking bet"
