Although all of this had felt like it was seconds ago it had already been a few hours. After my first approach, I'd made sure she knew I was going to watch over her for the night whether she agreed or not. For the rest of the night, after my promise, I'd made sure to do just that.I'd watched over her and Lea whilst keeping a safe distance. It was either that or I would end up doing something that would probably get me slapped.
It had all been ok until I'd spotted Josh at the beach party. My shoulders had tensed and Ethan had talked me out of going up to him.Which was probably for the best. Instead, Ethan went and spoke to him which I was thankful for. He must have not stayed for long after Ethan had warned him away because I hadn't seen him again since.
Once the party had progressed to the club I had been unable to keep up with Cyan for a while but I'd found her at the bar not long after. Unfortunately, so had Luke, the guy from the beach earlier today. I'd watched with my fists tight as he bought Cyan and Lea a shot but I'd been able to relax once Cyan just brushed him off. Unfortunately, he had also caught sight of me watching over them and had approached me not long after.
"Yo Luca!" His arm had shot up over my shoulder in greeting.
"Hey man." The music was loud and I really didn't want to talk to him.
"Your chick is looking even hotter now than in that red bikini!" His words had been light and followed by an easy laugh. I knew what he said was normal but it really did take everything in me not to punch his mouth shut.
He was lucky we'd been interrupted by Ethan and Trent coaxing me over to the bar where I'd basically spent the rest of the night in. From there, I'd watched Lea and Cyan dancing and Ethan and Trent join them at some point. Trent was a decent guy but watching him dance with Cyan hadn't been easy on me either. Three songs in had me ordering a whisky for myself for the first time in a couple of years and I'd gulped it down in one go, hoping it would help numb my thoughts. I'd had to tear my eyes away and make my way to the toilet to calm myself down. But of course, Cyan would choose that moment to disappear. When I'd come back and looked for her, outside had been the second place I'd checked after the bar.
The night had been truly exhausting and seeing Trent so close to her had made me want to punch a hole through his head and I did realise this wasn't a normal reaction. At that moment, all the restraint and resolve I'd had that night had gone out the window. Lea didn't want Cyan to get hurt but all these guys I'd been keeping away from her couldn't be any better than I was.
I was sure of it.
Whether this was true or not didn't matter either.
As she stood there with her eyes wide, like a puppy caught doing something wrong, I made my decision. Maybe it was the whisky I'd just drank going to my head or maybe that was just the excuse I'd use but Cyan was going to be mine and there was nothing anyone could do to stop me.

Cyan's POV
It was as if he knew exactly where to place his lips to make me weak. Luca's lips attack my neck softly teasing the weak spot on my neck, making the need I'd been feeling to be close to him more intense. I could blame the alcohol later on but at this moment I felt completely sober as I bunched his shirt in my arms holding onto him as my legs became weak.
The feelings I was experiencing only grew more intense as he sucked on that sweet spot. I never even knew I could feel this way from being kissed on the neck. Heck, the guy hadn't even kissed me on the lips yet but his sweet kiss on my neck felt better than anything I'd ever felt. When he pulls away from my neck and leans his forehead back on mine, his eyes are intense and for once, I know exactly what he wants. Me.
