Rosie x Reader(Gender Neutral) Part 1

(Y/N)'s P.O.V.

I was excited to see Rosie again! I loved hanging out with Rosie, I'd see her every day!

I got out of bed, still feeling tired yet excited at the same time. I got into my favorite clothes and hopped out the door.

I saw Rosie talking to Goldie, and I decided to run over to her. Rosie and Goldie both waved me down as I ran over to them.

"Hey (Y/N)!", Rosie cheered, with a sweet smile. Rosie was always so peppy and cheery. I never knew how she could keep that up all the time. I've never even seen her be sad.

"I'll leave you two alone.", Goldie giggled, sending a wink towards Rosie, who just blushed.

"What were you guys talking about?", I asked, confused. "N-n-nothing!", she stammered, avoiding eye contact. I just shrugged it off. "So, you ready to hang out?", I asked, hope in my eyes.

"Yeah!", she cheered. "How about fishing?", I asked, pulling out a fishing rod. "I don't care as long as I'm with you!", she replied. Immediately, she realized what she said and instantly started blushing. I just laughed it off, as I pulled her towards the ocean.

Later...

We were sitting on the edge of the dock, Rosie was quietly humming to herself, while she was fishing. I took note of her distinguishing features.

Her glossy blue fur. Her sweet smile, the smile of an angel. Her rosy cheeks. I guess that's why her name is Rosie.

As she hummed to herself, I couldn't help but be mesmerized. Hearing her sweet voice makes me feel warm and safe. Maybe I could just...

She yelped in surprise as I held her paw gently. I couldn't face her, mostly because at this point I was a flustered mess, but I could tell she was staring at me. I immediately released her paw. "Sorry, sorry, sorry!", I shouted, hoping she wouldn't think I was a weirdo.

She didn't respond, which made me worry. What if she didn't- All of a sudden, I felt something in my hand. I looked down to see her paw there. I looked at her, and now she was blushing. I smiled, feeling all jittery inside.

Later...

After the fishing, in which we caught nothing, we decided we would try to catch some butterflies.

We were on top of the largest hill in the village. Rosie and I were running around, laughing, chasing the butterflies. We weren't catching any of them, but it was still fun!

"Isn't this amazing?!", Rosie laughed, swinging at a butterfly and instead hitting a tree. "Every day is amazing with you!", I replied, causing her to blush.

As I was chasing a butterfly, I couldn't help but stare at Rosie again. Something about seeing her laugh, smile, and just have fun...it was the best feeling.

While I was chasing a butterfly, I was too focused on Rosie to remember we were still playing on a hill. I tripped on a huge rock and started to roll down the hill, and it was not fun! I heard a gasp and then shouting. "(Y/N)!", I heard Rosie shout, her voice filled to the brim with fear. 'Nice job, (Y/N)', I scolded myself, struggling to keep consciousness. 'You made Rosie worried!' That was the last thing I remembered before I blacked out.
