Uh, hi? Most of you probably won't remember me, but I am an author here, who writes fanfics. I joined Wattpad in 2019, which feels like forever ago. My 3 year anniversary of being on this site will actually be coming up soon in December.
But I digress. Over the three years I've grown and changed as a person. I've become more open with others, and more honest with my self.
But I think I've also realized something. I've grown tired of writing fanfics, of sticking to one thing. Don't get me wrong, I loved every moment of it, and seeing how much my writing has changed over time. However, I think after years of trying to convince myself to write a single one-shot, and imagining all these grandiose ideas that'll never come to fruition, I think it's time I made a change.
In the coming week, I'm going to make a new account, where I will make a new book. It will be like the others, but it will be my own stories, with my own characters, with my own rules. It will be for short stories that I write, not because I have to, but because I want to. I can't promise that I'll keep up on it regularly, because I probably won't. But when I do write in it, I'll make sure that the story is the best it can be. Little to no spelling mistakes, proper grammar, all the things I like seeing in writing. But most importantly, I will write what I want, when I want, if it makes me happy. Because even after all these years, I still do love writing with every fiber of my being. I'm just an idiot who gets distracted very easily.
I'll still leave this account up, I might even still be active on it for a good while. I'm proud of these stories, and I want anybody to experience them for the first time, kind of like how my first experience with this site was through fan fiction.
But all my future work, will be done through my other, future account. I even already have some stories that I've written that I'm ready to put up there, I just have to figure out how lol. I'm not sure if I'll ever go back to fan fiction. Maybe some day. But for now, I think I'm ready to start a new chapter, and I thank those who have stood by me ever since my first story.
