Twenty: Jin

"Does anyone have any problems?" the man asks with authority.

No one protests.

"Good," he says. "You're welcome to leave for rehearsals. We'll send out a plan on Monday for the schedule and keep you updated on decisions. Work hard for the concert tomorrow, please."

Areum's giggles on the couch next to me draw my attention away from the mind-numbing reality show on the large television.

"What are you looking at?" I ask her.

She smiles at me and turns the laptop so I can see. "Yoongi told me to pick a honeymoon destination today. I'm emailing them offering more money so they can take our reservation on such short notice."

I squint to read the English print at the top of the webpage.

"Turtle Island?" I ask. "What's that?"

"it's a very private, very expensive vacation island in Fiji," she tells me. "The villa I'm requesting is completely separate from the rest of the resort. It has full-time room service, a fully stocked mini bar, a private beach, a hot tub with an ocean view..." She sighs. "We won't have to leave the house for anything. It's perfect. We won't risk being seen by other people on the island. And, get this. They don't allow more than fourteen couples at a time on the resort."

I smile. "Maybe we'll all vacation there one day," I say. "It sounds like a dream."

She laughs. "Rock paper scissor for the private beach."

"You know it."

"What are you two giggling about?"

Yoongi sits down beside Areum on the couch. He tosses and arm around her shoulders and presses a sweet kiss to the side of her neck. I look away and ignore my own skin that tingles with jealousy.

Jimin, Namjoon, Hoseok, and Yoongi and Areum will all be leaving the country for vacations. Taehyung and Jungkook will be around visiting their friends and family, which leaves me pretty much alone in the house.

Until Min-hee comes back next week once everyone's gone.

I sigh at the thought.

"Something wrong, hyung?" Yoongi asks.

I sigh again. "Just thinking about Min-hee. She's coming back next week while everyone's away."

"And?"

I shrug. "I don't know. I just want it to be normal. I don't want to have to go shopping, or get her nails done, or fight over whatever she decides to pick a fight about. I just want to have a normal relationship. Is that too much to ask for?"

Areum shifts in her seat. "I'll go start packing for our trips." She kisses Yoongi's cheek and hurries down the hall to their room.

"I don't know, Seokjin hyung," Yoongi says with a yawn. "The whole situation feels off to me."

"Me too, to be honest."

"What are your feelings?" he asks.

I rub my hand over my face. "I care about her, I might even love her...I just don't know that I'm in love with her, y'know?" It's hard to believe that she's my soulmate when everything just feels so wrong when I think about it. I'm happy when we're together, when it's just me and her. I like when we wake up together because she always runs her fingers through my hair and smiles at me. I like when we watch TV together and we talk about the things that happen in the shows...she likes to make jokes about them."
