Nico Di Angelo x Ela Santos x Percy Jackson (I'm Not Giving Up On You) Part 1

"Ela, what's wrong?"

"I'm scared Percy. I'm just about to tell my boyfriend that I can't be with him because my father disapproves of him and I'm being forced to be with my best friend that I love like a brother and nothing more. There's also the fact that father basically forced me to cheat on Nico when he used the wind to make us kiss."

"You two kissed?" A broken voice said. I looked ahead of me and saw Nico at the front of his cabin with a hurt look in his eyes. I ran over to him to try and talk to him, but he pushed me away and went back into the cabin, slamming the door behind him. I was about to knock on the door so I could try and explain what happened but then, I heard the sound of crying coming from inside the cabin. Tears began to form in my eyes and I turned from the cabin, ran past Percy and straight to my cabin with tears falling down my cheeks.

Percy's POV

I saw Ela about to knock on the door of the cabin, but then she stopped, turned around and ran from the cabin and straight past me. I saw a few tears run down Ela's face as she ran past me. I was going to follow after her and confront her, but then I thought that she might need some time to herself. I decided to try and talk to Nico and explain to him what's happening so he doesn't get the wrong idea. I walked up to the cabin and knocked on the door.

"W-Who is it?" Nico said with a broken voice. When I heard his voice sounding so broken, I was even more determined to set things right with Nico. I mean, Nico's been through a lot and even a son of Hades deserves some happiness.

"It's Percy. Please Nico, let me in and let me explain. It's not what you think." I heard the sound of Nico getting up and walking to the door. After a few seconds, the door had opened and Nico was standing in front of me. He had a bit of an angry look on his face, but mostly a broken one.

"Not what I think, really Percy. I heard what Ela said about you two kissing. What is there to explain except for the fact that my girlfriend cheated on me with her best friend." Nico began to shut the door and just before he did, I said,

"What about the fact that her father forced her to." Nico stopped dead in his tracks and slowly turned around to face me.

"What do you mean her father forced her to?"

"Please, just let me in and I'll explain everything." Nico nodded his head after a few moments and I entered his cabin. He sat down on his bed while I begun to speak.

"You know how Ela was summoned by her father to speak to him alone up on Olympus, well it was to talk about her relationship with you. He doesn't approve of you and Ela all because Hades is your father. Not too long after Ela was summoned, I was also summoned by Zeus saying that it was important. When I got there, I apologised for interrupting the meeting when Zeus said that I was right on time. Zeus said that he wants Ela and I to be together and I told him how I only see Ela as my best friend and that's all we are going to be. I mean, yes I do love her but only like a sister, not a lover and I even said that to Zeus. I even told him that you make Ela happy and isn't that what he should care about, Ela's happiness. Unfortunately, what I said did nothing to help and he forced us to be together. Oh and about us kissing, Zeus used the wind to push us towards each other and Ela stumbled into me and it cause our lips to collide with each other's, resulting in us kissing. We didn't mean to kiss each other, it was forced upon. She loves you Nico and only you. You're the only one who can make her as happy as you do." It was quiet for sometime. I think Nico was just processing what I told him. After quite a few moments, Nico said,

"I believe you." I breathed out a sigh of relief. I'm relieved that Nico believes me, I would never do anything that would come between him and Ela.
