Seoyoung's POV

I screamed and dropped the phone, shielding my head with my hands. There, in all his wrath, stood Kim Taehyung, jaw set and seething. In a flash, he was at my side, grabbed the phone from my hands and chucked it across the room. The phone smashes into the wall across from me with an earsplitting bang, shattering to bits and leaving a hole in the drywall. I couldn't even scream, too frightened, I just sat there, whimpering and shaking. Taehyung continues his rampage, storming over to me, he pushes me to the ground and wraps his hand around my neck. He squeezes slightly, not enough to choke me, just enough to make me feel uneasy.

"Why did you disobey me?" Taehyung growls in a low voice. He sounded like a wolf, an angry wolf who just caught a betraying member of his pack.

"I-I," but I couldn't respond, for Taehyung had started squeezing hard on my neck, choking me. Tears flowed from my eyes as I ran out of air. When I felt like I was about to pass out, Taehyung was quickly pushed off me.

"Kim Taehyung! What in the hell are you doing?!" a voice yelled disapprovingly.

"Stay out of it, Hyung." Hyung?

"No!" The tall man huffed and ran to my side, gently lifted me up as I gasped for air. "Just look what you did!" the man continued to scold as he asked worriedly, "Are you okay? Are you hurt anywhere?" I shook my head, slowly sitting up with his help, coughing. "Just what did she do to justify your abusive actions?"

"Namjoon-"

"That's Hyung to you! Now explain yourself!" he shouted, angrily.

"Fine! She tried to call the cops! What else was I supposed to do?!" Taehyung shouts back. Namjoon's mouth fell open, perplexed.

"You attacked her, because she made a phone call?!"

"To the cops! The fucking police!"

"You know very well we can handle them! Easily at that!" Namjoon closes his eyes in impediment, then tells him off, saying, "Just- go! I don't have the mind to argue with you right now!" Bitterly, Taehyung storms out of the room, slamming the only door left, swinging dangerously on its hinges. With a deep sigh of vexation, Namjoon turns to me, kindness in his eyes. "Are you alright?"

"Yeah, yeah I am. Thank you so much for everything back there," I said, finally finding my voice. Namjoon gently helps me up to sit on the bed. There was an awkward silence until Namjoon clears his throat, standing up.

"Well, I have some business to attend to, so."

"Y-yeah. Of course, thanks again," I say, standing up and walking him to the door. He chuckles at the other large oak door on the ground.

"Don't worry, he'll come around." Then he turned around and left. Sighing, I collapsed onto the silky bed with a great sigh. How had I gone from working night shifts in a hospital to sleeping in a king-sized bed in a mansion estate? In one day, no less? As I was about to dose off, a light knock sounds on the wall.

"Knock knock," a familiar voice said. I stiffened when I realized it was Taehyung. "I know it's late but, there's dinner downstairs and I would like you to join me."

"I'm not hungry," I merely replied, flipping around to face the glass wall.

"I'm not asking," he growled. I didn't answer, pretending to be asleep. All of a sudden, a pair of hands yanked the back of my shirt, hoisting me into the air and slamming me against the wall. I groaned in pain as I clutched my whirling head. "You will do everything I say if you want me to keep Daniel alive," Taehyung threatened in a deep voice, right beside my ear. "I wouldn't test me now."

"Y-yes, okay," I squeak. Taehyung lets go then turns around with me following behind. We walk through the many rooms until we stop in front of an outlandish archway. It spread meters above our heads, revealing a deep dining table, laden with white china, golden cutlery and red napkins, contrasting the black tablecloth. The room had a far more modern feel than the fairytale parts of the rest of the estate. The walls were a dark grey and the lights were not crystals dangling from gold. Instead, there seemed to be floating diamonds hanging in the air, floating and emitting light. They also slowly moved around, like a carousel. Taehyung led me to the head of the table, where he pulled out a white leather chair with gold etches around the side, gesturing me to sit.

"There will not be anyone else joining us tonight, if that's what you're wondering," Taehyung says, as he takes a seat himself. It was, indeed what I was wondering. How absurd it was to use such a large table for just two people. Eating on the kitchen island would have been better. With a wave of his hand, two chefs walked in with a cart of gold plated food. The smell wafting around the room was mouth-watering, the dishes themselves looked phenomenal as well. "I didn't know what you liked, so I ordered all my personal favourite dishes." Despite living in these lavishly extraordinary conditions, Taehyung's favourite foods actually were quite ordinary. "Bulgogi, yangneom tongdak, soondubu jiggae, ddukbokkie and obviously, we cannot forget the kimchi," Taehyung said, gesturing to the large bowl of red spicy cabbage. Never had I seen so much food for just two people. "Help yourself," Taehyung said, picking up his chopsticks and digging into the bulgogi.

An awkward silence fell over us until I braved myself to ask, "How is Daniel?"

Stopping mid-chew, Taehyung clears his throat and asks, "What do you mean?"

"I mean- Is he doing okay?"

Taehyung stares at me then answers, "Well, he is being clothed, watered and fed, if that's what you're asking," his voice becoming louder nearing the end of his sentence. I nod, not wanting to ask more for fear of him losing his temper... again. "So, I have decided that we're going to get married next week." I choked on my water.
