Reena's POV (sorry again):
I kept my gun on jai, knowing I could kill him if he posed a threat to anyone, but jai just sighed and turned away. He made his way slowly towards the edge of the clearing again, and obviously knew we were watching him by the tightness in his shoulders, showing discomfort and anger. What the hell are you doing, I thought as I realised I was trying to read his emotions, but as the ferns swished and he vanished I lowered my gun and turned to Jason. I leaned into him and sighed, he hugged me but we broke apart when I felt Wilson and Felicity's gazes on us, "we are going to go for a walk," I said to them, they nodded and we turned away.

The river slid past us as we walked upstream, the water was clear blue and we were near the ocean again. The salty smell of the sea touched my nose and I tried not to breathe it in too deeply, I had hated the smell of the ocean since I was eleven and the thick stench swarmed around us. I glanced at Jason and he was staring straight ahead, towards the drop that stopped the path, the river swerved away down a hill, but we kept walking forwards. The drop off came closer and the sound of crashing water became clearer, and as we reached within two metres of the drop I realised it was a cliff. I stopped dead.

I. Hate. Heights.

That's all to it. I'm not going any closer unless I crawl or slide. Nope. Jason looked at me sideways, as if saying, you chicken? I'm not. But I don't have a death wish either, oh and if you are average height and you have no problem with heights, you don't have another like 175cm to add to it. So back off. I'm not afraid of the dark, spiders, snakes, bugs, or anything like that, but I feel more unsafe on a cliff or man made structure than I do in a tree, as they say their only human, what if the whole structure is a mistake, huh? Yeah, no, I'll pass thankyou Jason. "Come on Ree," he pleaded,
"Um, no." I said back, "I don't do heights."
"Please, just for me?" He begged,
"No." I said firmly, there was no backing down, he sighed and dropped to the ground next to me,
"Fine," he looked at me sadly,
"Sorry, but I can't do it." I said bluntly,
"It's okay Ree," he said, "I don't blame you."
"Alright," I said and leaned into him, the sun set over the ocean as we drifted into sleep.

I woke to the intense sound of waves smashing the rocks and my face halfway off the cliff, sleeping here was not a good idea, I roll in my sleep. Crap, edge, I thought panicked as I finally woke up, I sprang back from the precipice and right into Jason. He woke with a jump and I spun around to see him rubbing sleep from his eyes, it was dark, really dark. The moon was directly overhead, indicating that it was at least midnight. A moan sounded from deep in the trees as we retreated to the fringe of them. "Crap." I whispered, "we're dead." Jason looked at me sadly,
"I'm so sorry Ree, it all my fault." He hung his head,
"No it's not," I reassure red him, even though I really thought it was,
"Really?" He whimpered, no, I thought, but the word never passed my lips,
"Really." I said firmly, he seemed to drop the subject of his stupidity as we waited for death.

I'm very sorry but I don't think there's much of a chance that my chapters are getting longer any time soon. I'll try and update more though to make up for it, or you could increase your font size to make it seem like there's more. Anyway, hope you liked that chapter!
