Child Has A Bad Dream

Shaw
It was about 2:30am and you & Shaw were asleep when the bedroom door creaked open. Emma was holding onto her teddy bear with tears running down her cheeks as she slowly walked over to Shaw's side of the bed.

Emma-''Daddy?''

Emma shook Shaw's hand which woke him up.

Shaw-''Emma?''

Shaw rubbed his eyes and turned on the nightstand light.

Shaw-''Babygirl, what's wrong?''

Shaw sat up, picked up Emma and she hugged him.

Emma-''I-I....I had a bad dream.''

Shaw-''Oh, sweetie. It's ok. It was just a dream.''

Shaw rubbed her back and she calmed down as you woke up.

You-''Hey, is everything ok?''

Shaw turned to face you.

Shaw-''She had a bad dream.''

You-''Oh.''

Shaw-''You wanna sleep by Mommy and Daddy?''

Emma nodded.

Shaw-''Ok.''

Shaw laid Emma down in between you and him and he laid down.

Emma-''Leave the light on, Daddy.''

Shaw-''Ok, sweetie.''

You & Shaw smiled as Emma snuggled up to her teddy bear.

Nick
It was 3:00am when Jack walked into your & Nick's bedroom. Jack held onto his Spiderman action figure as he walked up to your side of the bed.

Jack-''Mommy?''

Jack shook your arm and you woke up. You rubbed your eyes and turned on the nightstand light.

You-''Jack, what's wrong?''

You sat up, picked up Jack and sat him on your lap.

Jack-''I-I had a bad dream.''

You-''Oh, honey. It's over now. It was just a dream.''

Jack rested his head on your chest as Nick woke up.

Nick-''Hey, is everything ok?''

You turned to face Nick as you started rocking Jack back to sleep.

You-''He had a bad dream.''

Nick-''Oh, poor guy.''

After about 10 minutes, Jack was fast alseep again.

You-''Should I take him to his bed or leave him here with us?''

Nick-''You can put him down here with us. Just in case he has another bad dream.''

You-''Alright.''

You slowly laid Jack down and you laid down as well. You turned the light off and you & Nick went back to sleep.

Jake
You & Jake woke up to hear Skyler screaming from her bedroom. You both ran into her room!

Skyler-''Mommy! Daddy!''

You both rushed over to her. You sat next to her and held onto her as Jake sat down facing both of you.

You-''She's trembling.''

Jake-''What happened, sweetheart?''

Skyler-''I-I-I had a b-bad dream.''

You sat Skyler down on your lap.

Jake-''Oh, sweetheart. It's over now. It was only a bad dream.''

Skyler-''But it felt real.''

You rubbed her back.

Jake-''I know. But it's all over now.''

Skyler sniffed as Jake wiped her tears.

Jake-''You know, Mommy and Daddy also have bad dreams sometimes.''

Skyler-''Really?''

Jake-''Yeah. But every time we have a bad dream, we become a little more brave, right?''

Skyler-''I guess so.''

Jake-''Who's my brave little girl?''

Skyler smiled.

Skyler-''I am.''

Jake-''That's right.''

You smiled at them.

Jake-''You ready to go back to sleep?''

Skyler slowly nodded.

You-''Ok, come on. Get back in bed, sweetheart.''

Skyler got back into bed and snuggled up to her stuffed bunny rabbit. You & Jake stayed with her until she was fast asleep.
