Ahana's pov

Finally we are here in Amritsar. Everyone is so happy from the time we reached here and why wouldn't they after all my husband and in-laws are coming here after a very long time and on top of that my family and our friends just made the environment more happening. But you know the best part is I met beeji here and all my fear and hesitation went away after meeting her. She is so lovely, open minded and funny unlike some other elders these days. I lost my grandparents at an early age so I don't really remember them but I think I have got another one in the form of beeji.

After freshening up I came out of our room here and went in the kitchen were maa,mom and Ruhi were talking about something
"Arre Ahana aao na" Ruhi told seeing me and ma and mom too noticed me. I smiled at them and asked
"Kya ho rha hai yaha?" Maa smiled and said
"Hum bas Khana hi nikal rahe the sabke liye. Almost time ho gya hai lunch ka toh Socha jaldi hi laga de. Sab thake bhi hai na thoda" I felt bad knowing that they prepared the lunch and I wasn't there to help them and said
"Aap log ne lunch bhi prepare Kar diya? I am so sorry ma mein help nhi Kar payi. Mujhe dhyaan hi nhi rha time ka aur mujhe pata bhi nhi tha ki lunch jaldi karne wale hai. I am sorry" Mom smacked my head lightly making me pout and Ruhi laughed,mom said
"Ek baar shuru ho jaati hai toh rukti hi nhi hai na kisi ki sunne ke liye" and maa joined saying
"Aur nhi toh kya. Bolne toh diya kar" I furrowed my eyebrows and maa continued
"Humne ye sab nhi banaya hai. Jaanki ji hai yaha Jo Ghar ke saare kaam Kar ti hai aur unhe pata tha ke hum aane wale hai toh unhone banaya hai Jo iss wakt Tere piche khadi hai" I immediately looked back and there stood a kind looking lady with a sweet smile almost in her 50's. I smiled at her and turned to maa smiling sheepishly while she shaked her head
"Tum tension Matt lo. Saas hu tumhari. Bahu se kab aur kaise kaam nikalwana hai aata hai mujhe" she told trying to appear strict but failing miserably making me laugh. I side hugged her and said
"Arre mein toh kabse wait Kar rahi hu Meri saas ka mujhpe hukum jatane ka but apko pata hai woh itni bholi hai ki unhe thik se daatna bhi nhi aata" she slapped my hand smiling while Ruhi chuckled and mom was looking at us in admiration. Breaking the hug maa said
" Acha chl jaake apne pati ko bula la. Uske pait me bhuk ke maare chuhe kudd rahe honge" I blushed on the word pati making them smile and nodding I left to call him. As I was about to enter the room, it was opened from the other side by Randhir. Looking at me he smiled and I reciprocated.
"Aap ka sar dard Kam hua?" I asked remembering he had a mild headache. He nodded saying
"Ab kafi thik hai" I muttered an 'okay' and said
"Chaliye lunch is ready". We came in the hall were everyone was already present. Randhir took his seat while I went in the kitchen to help with the dishes. We all sat down on our respective seats and started our lunch. The lunch was a fun filled affairs with beeji's constant sarcastic remarks and bickering with maa and Adith's stupid jokes. After lunch,we all were just sitting around talking randomly while beeji went in her room to bring something. I was talking with Ruhi when beeji came and told me
"Ahana puttar, Jara yaha aana beta" I got conscious and tensed to see her calling me and I looked at both my moms to which they assured me through their eyes then I looked at Randhir who did the same encouraging me. Taking a breath I stood and went to sit beside her on the couch. She forwarded a round velvet coloured blue box and opening it removed elegant looking Bangles.
