Altaïr heard whining coming from the plush chair across from his desk. He glanced up from cleaning his assassin blade to see his daughter hanging upside down on the chair. Pleased she finally caught her father's attention, she jutted out her lower lip and held her arms out.

Altaïr resumed cleaning his assassin blade instead. Y/n Ibn-La'Ahad's little pout turned into a small scowl. She rolled upright and stormed over to her father. She stood in front of him and yet, he still didn't pay attention to her.

She knocked his blades from his lap and draped herself over his lap. She squeaked when her father stood up. He picked up his gauntlets from the floor and picked Y/n up by the back of her shirt. He then carried her to her bedroom, pushed her inside, closed the door, and locked it.

"Papa!" Y/n pounded her fists against the door. "Open!" She whined.

Altaïr sat back down on the chair and resumed cleaning the gauntlets. Y/n stomped her foot and climbed to her bed. She opened the window and climbed out. She then ran towards her favorite uncle in Masyaf.

Malik knew Altaïr has been purposely ignoring and neglecting Y/n to focus on his duties as a Master Assassin but he also knew that Y/n has been lacking attention. So it made perfect sense for her to approach him for said attention.

Her head laid on his chest as he focused on paperwork in front of him. Even though it's not a lot of attention, it's better than none.

The door swung open and Malik knew who walked in.

"Finally come to collect your daughter, Novice?"

Altaïr scowled at Malik. Sometimes, he really wanted to shove Malik off the cliff for this.

"Your daughter came sulking when you didn't show her any attention. Continue neglecting her and she may start seeing me as her father and not you."

Altaïr's scowl deepened at Malik's words before taking Y/n back. Y/n yawned as Altaïr carried her back and looked up.

"....I'm sorry."

Y/n's arms went around his neck.

"It's okay, Papa."
