"Zanna?!" Taehyung bursts into her room for the second night in a row. She sobs and reaches for him, ignoring that little voice in her head that whispers, "keep your distance".

"Tae--" Zanna hiccups and he takes her into his arms as he climbs into her bed with her, pulling her head to his chest.

"Shh, princess, shh. I'm here," he murmurs. "I'm here. You're safe." He strokes a hand through her hair and she presses herself closer, her soft cries making her tremble against him. He murmurs sweet nothings into her ear until she quiets and only the odd hiccup breaks the silence.

"Please stay," she whimpers finally, and Taehyung gives her a gentle squeeze.

"Always," he vows, pressing a kiss to the top of her head. "Always, princess."

They fall asleep like that, Taehyung half-sitting against the headboard and Zanna's ear pressed to his chest, his heartbeat soothing her into dreamless bliss.

Taehyung wakes the next morning alone, sore from the awkward position he slept in. He looks around sleepily, a little confused at being alone and not in his bed, but he quickly remembers why he's in Zanna's room instead of his own.

I could see her nightmare, he realizes. Try as he might, though, he can't remember what the nightmare was about. Weird. He shrugs a little and stretches, figuring Zanna must have gotten up only a short while ago. He takes a moment as he climbs out of the bed to figure out where she is and makes it the whole way to the door between her part of the apartment and theirs before he realizes that he can't.

He can't feel Zanna at all. It's as if their Soulbond was never there in the first place.

He turns on his heel to check her bathroom--it's empty, so he heads to his apartment, swallowing the panic that threatens to rise in his throat.

This doesn't mean anything. Maybe she's still on edge from the nightmare and closed herself off a bit more. Taehyung nods to himself, deciding that must be it, and checks every room in the boys' apartment: kitchen, living room, laundry room, both bathrooms, games room, the studio, his room (both Soulmates still asleep) and the other two bedrooms (should've knocked before entering Hoseok and Jimin's, really).

But she isn't anywhere. Zanna's just... gone.

Shit.

"Everything okay, Tae?" Seokjin frowns as Taehyung returns to the kitchen.

"Do you know where Zanna is?" He asks hurriedly.

"She isn't here?"

"Shit." Taehyung rushes back to his room and grabs his phone, quickly dialling Zanna's number and lifting it to his ear. Seokjin touches his shoulder gently, having followed him.

"Taehyung, what's going on?"

"I can't feel her, hyung. I can't feel her at all and I can't find her--" he cuts off as a phone rings somewhere in the apartment. He glances at his own ringing phone and takes off.

"Zanna!" He calls frantically, following the ringing to the living room. It's her phone, all right--sitting on the coffee table, its owner still nowhere in sight.

"Shit!" He yells, hanging up and throwing his phone across the room. It hits the wall with a thud, the screen cracking as it drops to the ground.

"What the hell is going on?!" Yoongi demands, rubbing sleep from his eyes as he joins a distraught Taehyung and a very concerned Seokjin in the living room. "Tae?"
