I read a picture that said, 'you sat down next to me and I forgot how to breathe' and I felt it in my chest. After reading it, my immediate thought was 'and i forgot again when you got up to leave.'
⠀⠀⠀
You were beautiful, and your voice was a black hole. I was sucked in and all my breathe was taken straight from my lungs. I was okay with it, because everyday the sky takes my breath away. I was okay with it, because I remember all of seventh grade I choked on words I never said to you. I am used to dying for beautiful things. However, in taking my breath, you replaced it with yours, and my it made me feel more alive than I ever had before.
⠀⠀⠀
The pain and choking and dying was ten times worse when you left.
⠀⠀⠀
You stole both my air and yours, and I was left with nothing. I died in the same spot we sat for eight months and I am simply a ghost wandering, looking for a home. If only you had stayed.
