Imagine: Working a case and everything goes wrong and your dad, Dean, has to save you

**************************************

I walked around with Sam and Dean, my uncle and dad. We were working a ghost case, and a ghost was dragging people under the water in the river to drown them for revenge. We walked around in the woods with our flashlights, looking for the object we needed to get rid of the spirit. I heard the river in the distance, the rapids were loud.

We were walking and looking for the right spot, and I heard a branch snap. My head turned to look, and I pointed my flashlight in that direction. Dean snapped at me, and I turned back.

"Hey, come on," He said, looking at me like he was concerned. "Let's keep moving. Stay close."

"I am," I said, trying to stay focused.

I followed along as we looked for the spot where the object was buried. But then I heard a yell, like a kid was saying my name. I turned around for a second, looking around again.

"Did you guys hear th-" I started.

I twisted back around to look for the boys, but they were gone. I turned my flashlight in multiple directions, but there were nowhere to be found. This is exactly what the lore was talking about when it said it was easier for kids to get lost in these woods.

"Sam?!" I yelled through the trees. "Dad?!"

No response. I heard the kid again, and I realized it was the son of one of the witnesses we spoke to days before, Jacob.

"Y/N?" He yelled, and I started following his voice.

"Jacob?!" I yelled back. "Jacob?"

I continued to listen to his repetitive yelling, and as I followed his voice, the sound of the flowing river became louder. I ran and soon, I made it to the river bank, slipping in mud but stopping myself from going in the water. My flashlight was dim, and I smacked it only to see it flicker. My heart raced.

"Y/N, don't let him take me," Jacob said, and I shined my flashlight over, seeing Jacob in the middle of the river.

"Jacob, get out of the water!" I screamed.

He was pulled under, and my heart pulled to a stop. I tossed my flashlight down and got as close to the water as I could, but I set one foot in and I was sucked under. The current kept me under as it swept me away. I finally lifted my head up for air, and I gasped deeply before going back under. I didn't stop moving. It went on for about two minutes, up and down, up and down. My hand lifted out of the water and my fingers slid across a hard surface. It was enough to grab onto. I pulled on it and found out it was a rock. I pulled myself onto it, fighting the strong current. I coughed.

"Y/N!" Sam screamed, and I saw them standing at the bank.

"Y/N, get out of the water!" Dad yelled at me.

I fought to get over to where they were, and I almost made it. I reached for their hands.

"Dad," I said, grunting and gasping.

"It's ok, I got you," He told me, kneeling down.

Before he could pull me up, a strong grip grabbed me and pulled me underneath the water. I opened my eyes as I started flowing again, seeing a kid who was pale and had blank eyes, just staring at me. He reached for my face but I shoved away, closing my eyes.

I fought to get to the surface, but my foot got caught by a rock underneath the flow and when I got it unstuck, I snapped up and hit a tough branch leaning down by the water. The hit was so hard, I was half unconscious.

When I opened my eyes again, I remembered what was happening. I fought to get air before I was being lifted up by someone's arms. I was brought up above the water and Dad and I both gasped. I coughed as he held my body close to his.

"Y/N, Y/N," Dad told me breathlessy, voice trembling slightly. "Sam, help me. Hey, baby, answer me!"

My world was spinning, and I couldn't breathe. I was on my back in the grass now, trying to fight the pain. But my muscles were weak and my head was pounding. Dad shook my shoulders and I coughed again.

"Hey, Y/N, come on," Dad said, wiping blood off my nose from where I got hit in the face before.

"I-I was..." I tried, opening my eyes slightly. "I cou-..couldn't save him. It took Jacob."

"Jacob is fine," Sam reassured me. "Jacob is with his family. The spirit was messing with your head."

"Y/N, come on," Dad said, lifting me up and wrapping an arm around his shoulders to help me walk. "You're fine. Everything's fine."

I grunted as we moved along. They kept telling me everything would be fine. But I wasn't sure.
