I wake up to someone kicking me in the face. I whimper softly and then curse myself for making any sounds at all. I don't want them to have any reason to hit me. I look at their shoes and it's clearly the Alpha's son.

"Here you go, slut," he says as he throws a rotten chunk of bread at me. "Think of it as me being in a good mood for my party. " He kicks my stomach again before going back upstairs.

When I hear the door slam shut I look at the loaf of bread. It's covered in mold to the point where you can barely see the actual bread. I throw it into another corner of the cell. I can't afford to get sick, and I can't afford the calories I'd get from eating it. I'm fat enough already.

I sit there for an hour or two, brooding, waiting for everyone to leave the house. It's so much easier to clean their rooms when they're gone. When I smell the last person leave the house, I head upstairs.

I fight the urge to cry as every part of my body is in pain. Every step feels like I'm still on that damn table, Alpha still destroying my body with those knives.

I clean as quickly as I can. I may be hurt, but I still have so much to do for tonight's party. I have all the pies to fill and bake, I have to finish the cake, and I haven't even started the main meal yet.

It takes me a little longer than normal, but finally, all of the rooms are clean. I also took the liberty of setting up the ballroom now, rather than leaving it to the last minute.

When I get into the kitchen, I start with the cake. I make the last two tiers and pop them into the ovens. This way, they'll have time to cool before I frost them. Goddess, help me if I serve that cake with runny frosting.

Then the pies. I don't know why but the few times I've snuck a bit of pie, I didn't completely like it. All of the pies taste bland unless it's pumpkin. Maybe that's just me though. I decide to make Cherry, Rhubarb, Apple, Blueberry, and Pumpkin pies. That's a good enough variety in my opinion. It's not like I don't have the ingredients. Call them what you will, but the White Dawn pack was not stingy when it came to food.

Finally, I get to make the main meal. I definitely prefer cooking to baking. Baking is so precise. I add the smallest extra amount of baking soda and instead of a beautiful cake, I get a sticky mess and a beating.

I decide that I'll make two options for the main course. First, Osso Buco which is a braised veal that I cook with red wine to give it a richer flavor. Second, I'll make Chicken and Rosemary Wine sauce. I don't bother with a vegetable dish, the wolves of my pack wouldn't even touch it.

I get lost in my cooking, the smells emanating through the kitchen. I seem to forget all of my pain and sorrow while I cook. Gliding through the kitchen, I'm in my natural habitat. Nothing can hurt me now.

*BAM*

I guess I spoke too soon...

"WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU, WHORE?!" I hear the Luna scream from the front of the house. What did I do?

She followed the smell of my cooking to the kitchen. Knowing I'm about to get hit, I set down the bowl of sauce I was currently holding.

At least the food can be safe.

The Luna storms up to me and grabs me by the neck, pushing me into a wall. Her face is bright red to the point where I think she's about to explode.

"HOW DARE YOU SLEEP WITH MY HUSBAND?" She yells into my face, her spit coating my face. I don't move to push her off me, that'll lead to more pain. I concentrate on breathing around her tight grip, but I also make a face that shows I have no idea what she's talking about.

She slams my head against the wall again. I can literally feel my brain slam against my skull. "DON'T FUCKING DENY IT! I FELT HIM DO IT! I FELT THE HEART-WRENCHING PAIN AS HE FUCKED YOUR SORRY ASS!" I see her claws extend before she swipes them across my face. Luckily, I was able to close my eyes to prevent their damage. The blood trickles down my face and a blood-curdling scream escapes my mouth.

I see her eyes flickering between their normal green to an intense shade of black. Shit, her wolf is trying to get out. I start to struggle, knowing that once her wolf takes control, there would be nothing able to stop her from murdering me.

She punches me multiple times in my stomach. I'm so glad I hadn't eaten that moldy bread, cause if I did I probably would have thrown it up onto her face.

She throws me onto the ground and pounces on top of me. Punching, clawing, kicking, scratching, she went nuts. I started to pray.

Oh Moon Goddess, why? I don't know what I did. I know I'm an ugly, useless, fatass who deserves to be beaten, but normally I'm given a reason! Please don't let her kill me!

Nothing stops. The Luna keeps beating me into the ground.

Fine. I guess it's time to die. Maybe it'll be ok. After all, Hell can't be much worse than my life right now.

Suddenly, the Luna stops hitting me. I can barely see around the blood dripping over my eyes, but I can make out the Alpha pulling the Luna off of me, yelling at her for beating me before I could finish dinner. He slaps her, hard. Hard enough where I feel bad for her. Before I pass out, I hear the Alpha order somebody to throw me into my cage so I could be out of sight for when the guests come.
