MARICAR is pushing the cart along the grocery shelves when Dominic arrived.

"I'm sorry I'm late," He held her waist and kissed her cheek, "There were things I had to finish in the office," he said and looked over the things she put in the cart.

She was caught off guard for a moment. This is the first time he did that and it means, he's getting comfortable with her.

"It's okay, I just booked a ride coming here. I know you'll arrive on time,"

"Oh, let me," He held the cart and pushed it himself, "What else do you need?"

"I just need an oyster sauce--"

"Ouch!" Dominic bumped to a woman who just dropped what she's holding.

"Oh my goodness, I'm so sorry," Dominic immediately helped the woman, "Let me help you,"

She looked at the woman and apologized as well, "We're really sorry..."

"Your husband can't take his eyes off you, Ma'am!" The woman laughed, "How I wish my husband looked at me like that!"

Maricar glanced at Dominic who just laughed as well. Wow, someone just thought they're still married.

"He's not my husband," She could see in her peripheral vision that Dominic changed his posture. One point for her. "By the way, I'm so sorry for the inconvenience..."

"Oh, that's okay..." She pushed the cart away from them when she realized that Dominic stayed for a while as the woman said something to him.

"Dom?" she called him as the woman walked away, too. "Are you okay?"

He went back to his senses and walked towards her, "What did she say?" she curiously asked.

"I-I think I know her..." He murmured, "Anyway, where were we?"

"Oyster sauce," She said as he pushed the cart leaving her behind.

Dominic was silent all throughout the drive. As if his mind is elsewhere and his flinching when she held his arm just confirmed it.

"What's wrong?" She asked not that she cared but this is getting her uncomfortable.

"Nothing, I was just thinking..." He said.

"Did you and Cynthia fight?" She asked, getting personal. She believed that she already set the stage, she has to level it up and see if he would open up.

"N-No," he simply answered and just focus on driving again, "I-I'm sorry, Icang... But I think I have to go... I'll just drive you home..."

"Hey," she stopped him, "It's okay, you can just drop me at the cottage. I parked my car there,"

"I'm so sorry--"

"Dom, it's okay. You don't have to explain it to me, I'm not your wife," she emphasized the last word as she looked at him with hurtful eyes.

That's two points for you, Dominic. She thought.

"We didn't fight," He said after a minute of silence, "We are not fighting anymore... Because we do not live together, anymore..."

"What?" Her reaction just gave her away. Why, Maricar? You fool!

"I left..."

She didn't know what to say until they arrived at the cottage. Dominic helped her unload the groceries before he heads off.

"Dominic..." She called him before entering the car, "W-Why did you leave her?"

Their eyes were locked into each other for a moment.
