I never done a Fade only fluff, so I hope I managed to capture them.
Hope you'll enjoy!😄

"Shade, you can't really get angry because our two year old beat you at War."

Farley's boyfriend frowned. "How," He exclaimed, "can Clara, a toddler, beat me?! I'm the best!"

Farley's glowered, and Shade retreated. "You're better," he muttered. She nodded, indicating him to continue.

Ignoring her parents' bickering, Clara reached her hands up, starting to fuss with Shade's green, worn shirt. His attention slid to her, firmly ignoring Diana's look.

She sighed, and settled back into the couch. Through the window, she could see snowflakes fall down, graceful and barely illuminated by the lamp at the front of the house. The skies were cloudy, blocking the stars. Usually, they would go out and look, no matter the cold. Now though, there wouldn't be much too see.

The habit latched in Monfort. Its starry sky were enough to make even Farley gasp every single time they inspected the view. Norta's night sky weren't nearly as beautiful, and the country itself wasn't much of a lure for them. The couple was content in their home in Ascendent.

Giggles drew Diana's attention back to her family. Clara was thrashing in Shade's arms, sensitive to his ruthless tickles. As Shade fingers brushed the kid's foot, her mother walked over.

Her hand rested on his shoulder for a moment, before joining him. Their daughter becomes breathless from the unending touches. She tries to escape, but fails. Her father drags her back through the carpet for more laughter filled minutes.

Then, kicking her little legs, she farts. So loud it sounds like a trumpet. The little girl grins, though both her parents find it a bit wicked.

Farley pats her head, then fan her hand to clear the smell away. Shade gags, holding Clara in the air. Her smile is definitely mean now.

"Like father like daughter," Farley mutters. Shade glances at her, face mockingly fuming and hurt.

She presses her lips into a thin line, also mocking him. "Is my baby boy offended?" She teases. Shade only tightens his jaw. He doesn't want her to beat him.

They're on the same level, but with their toddler here, he'd rather not let it go sideways. Some things are not meant for a little girl's eyes.

"I'm completely and extremely fine," he declares. She presses her hand to her heart. "I'm sure you are completly and extremely fine." She laughs.

As if to remind them of her existence, the baby farts again. Farley snorts, then opens a crack in the window. This one stinks even worse then the last one.

"Is she trying to imply something?" Farley says. Her boyfriend rolls his eyes. "Like what?"

"Like the clothes you dressed her in," she wrinkles her nose.

"What is wrong with them, exactly?" He bites.

"You dressed her as if she's a gory tree."

Shade looked horrified. "Her outfit wasn't inspired from a tree covered in blood!" She just shrugged, gesturing for her daughter's colorful clothes.

Clara's shoes were pine green, as were her pants. They were soft and comfortable, fitting her size. A thing that wasn't so easily purchasable not long ago for the reds.

And as Farley said, her shirt was a bright, strong red. Its colour was indeed very similar to a bloody red. The shirt was a bit short on her, so it was a bit puffy, and stood out.

Though with such a calm little child, no one but Diana Farley would ever equalize between her and blood tipped pines.

"The colours, red and green, have a different meaning," he clarified.

The corner of her mouth quirked upward. "I'm going to get a snack," Farley announced. She walked into the kitchen, her steps fast and sure.

Hunger played in her stomach, bothering but not enough for a full meal. Especially since they've already ate dinner. Farley regretted the decision to dine early. She had work, though, reports she needed to read. But when she gotten to them, it only took her about thirty minutes.

So she came to enjoy the evening with her partner and child.

Talking about the two mess-makers, Shade was yelling, "could you bring chocolate chips cookies?" As he started playing with Clara.

Farley chuckled to herself, opening the treats drawer. It was a complete mess, but she found the cookies and organized them on a plate.

She grabbed a cup, filling it with warm milk, then headed back into the living room. Shade winked at her from his spot on the carpet.

By the time they put sleepy Clara in bed, the entire plate of cookies was finished. They didn't bother cleaning up the mess they've made while having family time.

I tried.
I'm not sure what will be next, maybe the AU series...? If you have preferences, or something I've said I'll do and didn't 😅, please comment.
