I wrote it, and just wasn't keen to continue. So... It's unfinished.
I never did Julian's pov before! I hope it'll be good, though he's a bit complicated character to get through.
Anyway, in my perspective, Mare is the ultimate, kindest ruler ever.
Hope you'll enjoy!!😆

Julian's pov:

The plane bumps as we touch the ground. One of the articles jumps out of my hand, reads:

The reason of colour: a chemical result

Having already read the article as one of the writers, I wait for the plane to come to a stop before reaching and staffing it back in my bag.

The article posted on this newspaper is the reason for my visit in Norta. I travel between Norta, Montfort and the Lakelands for findings and knowledge, which seems to constantly appear all across the continent. With the Newfound land, Britain, and their own mine of information I barely stay home with my nephew and Sara. Though she joins me to most friendly visits, she usually only comes for meetings with the queen.

Mare Barrow. If you told me the wary red girl I taught how to control her lightning will become the Red Queen of Norta, I'd probably laugh and tell you you've read too many novels.

But she is the queen of this country, and she invited us to present our discovery in court, a much friendlier and better functioning court, may I say.

Her Majesty invites me quite often, and even if I come without a formal request she welcomes me with open arms. Me, Sara and Cal are always free to visit whenever we'd like.

Unfortunately, Cal barely comes. He never truly moved on, and the young man didn't really wanted to, in my opinion. Mare's twenty two, he's twenty four. It hasn't been long, and each time I asked them, they both still loved each other. But as Tiberias confessed with regret, shame and want, Mare was the opposite. She responded clearly, unworried and free. Her life as queen has been good.

The lightning girl was much better now, despite all she's lost. While you expect her to become a monster, as Cal regretted calling her, she became calm, kind and understanding. I loved this peaceful version of her, open and overly better. She's changed so much from the bitter, sassy girl of the stilts. Mare is a wonderful woman now, and I just wish my nephew will find the strength to come out to her.

We file out, a mixed bunch of scholars and Representatives, with varying reasons to our arrival, though most are here for our research. It got huge recognition from scientists and citizens alike, and I'm extremely proud.

A
