Ch 47 (Miki)

We pulled into another hotel, the third one that we had seen a black Charger in, and walked in. Hayden heads to the front desk while Electra and I sit outside with Snow. I sigh, hanging my head and leaning on my knees. Electra lays a hand on my back,

"Don't worry Miki, if Josh is out there, he's ok! I wouldn't be worried about him, I would worry about the monsters that he might meet!" I smile,

"Yeah that's true! I just miss him is all..." She puts her arm around me,

"We'll find him, we've got luck on our side, and you as well!" I glare at Electra as she grins at me and I can't help but laugh. Hayden comes out then, with a frown on his face,

"Well, he was definitely here, but he checked out about an hour ago. The Charger belongs to another American, some guy named Mitchel, and he definitely wasn't Josh. One of the patrons saw Josh leave and go south though, towards Darmstadt." I nod,

"Let's call Karina and tell her, then head down there ourselves." Electra calls Karina in the car,

"Hey Electra, did you find him yet?"

"In a sense. We found the hotel he was at, but he left an hour ago, heading down to where you're at. We're headed that way, see if you can find anything in the newspapers there that might've caught his attention!" We hear papers rustle and Axels voice comes back,

"I'm a little ahead of you there, apparently there was a family that was murdered about a day ago, and their blood was drained. Karina thinks it might be a rogue Vampire, definitely not as strong as the two we met in Russia. I think Josh and Dalton are headed after them. When Karina first met Dalton he said that he was sent to hunt the other two so they definitely want to try out their skills." Electra smiles,

"Well, that's the best lead we've got! Where do you want us to meet you?" Karina comes back on,

"There's a gun store about a mile west of Darmstadt, I'm sending you the address now Miki, meet us there in half an hour and we'll restock there. I've called ahead, and half of the workers are demigods so they're getting what we need now."

"Thanks Karina! I've got the address, we'll meet you there in thirty minutes!" I say, and Electra hangs up, handing the phone back to Hayden in the backseat. She smiles at me and says,

"See? Told you we'd find him!" Hayden speaks up,

"Don't worry about finding him, I've got some ideas about where the vampire is holding up, and when Josh will attack. Remember, Josh hunted werewolves and Vampires when he was a kid as well, and I've researched a lot about hunting them." I send him a surprised look and he shrugs,

"I am the son of Athena!" Electra laughs,

"Like we could ever forget!" We laugh, and I smile, finally hoping that everything could turn out alright.
