It had been four months since Josh disappeared, and we still haven't seen any sign of him. Miki was devastated for the first month, and now she's starting to worry everyone. It seems she has a death wish. I've asked her about it before, but she shrugged it off. We had been traveling around the world, fighting monsters and demons, searching for Josh and trying to figure out a way to kill Legion. Right now we were in France, about twenty miles outside of Paris, checking into a random French Motel for the night.

"Come on Miki, let's go check in while Karina parks." Electra wakes Miki up from her nap and they both walk inside, followed by Hayden from the second car. When me and Axel find parking spots I text Miki, letting her know where we were. She texts back with our room number and I start to unload the car when Axel lays a hand on my arm.

"Karina.." I turn to him, and he hugs me, pulling me close. I close my eyes, hugging him back.

"It's okay. You're doing great." I pull back and look at him,

"How do you always know what I'm thinking?" He smirks,

"Cause you're my Karina, and I'm your Axel." I smile at him and pull away,

"Well since you're my Axel then you can carry my bags!" I wink at him as he groans, picking up the bags and following me to our room. After we unpack Miki speaks up,

"I saw that they serve dinner in the lobby, you guys wanna go see what they've got?" Hayden perks up at the sound of food,

"I'm in!!" Electra laughs and leans against Hayden,

"I guess I'm in as well!" I glance at Axel then answer for both of us,

"Come on, let's go see what they've got for dinner!"

Dinner in France is a lot different from other places. The names sound fancy for everything. Axel had something called Bacon and Leek Quiche, which looked like pizza, and Miki had a light salad aux Lardons, which is just a salad with fat pieces of bacon in it. Seems the French like their bacon. We were halfway through dinner, joking and laughing when a flash of blue catches my eye. I glance over Electras shoulder and see a familiar body walking quickly out to the parking lot. Axel touches my shoulder,

"Karina, you ok?" I smile,

"Yeah I'm fine! I have to use the restroom though, I'll be right back!" I jump up and hurry to the restrooms, passing them and going outside through the side door. I look around, trying to find whoever it was when a Midnight black Dodge Charger roars to life in front of me. I gasp and bolt for my Ferrari Enzo, grabbing my keys out of my pocket and starting it on the way. I jump in and slam the door shut as the Challenger roars out of the parking lot, and I peel out after it. The Challenger weaves through traffic, and I can hear the engine pausing as the driver shifts into different gears. I smile, even though I loved Transmission vehicles, Automatics were by far the best in a car chase. My Ferrari easily catches the Challenger, matching it turn for turn until I start noticing signs for the Autobahn. I laugh, did he really think that an American muscle car could outrun the prime and perfection of an Italian Supercar? He turns, entering the Autobahn and swerving past a Fiat into the left lane, flying up the European Interstate. I smile and hang back, letting him think he had the lead then punch it, accelerating to over 200 miles an hour. I easily catch up to him, but before I can tap the brake, the distance between us stops getting smaller! My eyes pop open, he had supped up his Challenger to match a Ferraris speed! I press down on the gas pedal, slowly easing up beside the Challenger. I manage to get neck and neck with it, and I glance at the speedometer. 325 miles an hour and the Challenger was pacing me. I sit back in my seat, stunned. It takes me a while to notice that my phone is ringing and I answer it,
