Concept:
Much like any other prince, he knows that his true love is someone locked away, or someone who's fallen into an eternal sleep, or even someone held prisoner for a beast. After learning of a man locked away within a tower for years, waiting for his prince to come save him, the prince sets off to find his true love. Only when he comes to the tower, he finds it crumbling. There's no dragon or beast guarding it, there's no riches hidden within it, and most of all, there is no prince. It's completely abandoned. The prince had saved himself.
In his heart, he knows the man is his true love. So, he sets off to find him.
