I AM SO SO SO SORRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I thought I'd uploaded this on Monday, but guess what? NOPE. SO SORRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also-

I STAN RON'S DAD VOICE!!!!!!!

Sorry I just found this on tumblr and had to share it. I mean come on. Ron is the dad friend. Book Ron, not movie Ron. The movies made a lot of mistakes, but the worst one was Ron. He was such a great character! And then the movies used him for comic relief. I MEAN COME ON!

Anyway, here's another chapter! On with the story!

.........

Nico's POV

I smiled slightly. So we didn't need to use our powers.

I leaned toward the door before hesitating. This whole... Chamber of Secrets thing. It did sound pretty bad. All of my instincts were screaming at me to get out of here; maybe because it was a small space, maybe because they didn't like the sound of THE CHAMBER OF SECRETS- But either way, it was pretty much the only method of destroying the horcrux we knew. So, I cracked open the door.

I felt my skin prickle, telling me that wherever we were going, it was underground. I turned back toward Hazel.

"We're gonna need your help on this one. It's underground." She nodded, and stepped forward. Cautiously, I swung the door open, revealing... black. From the little light in the room, we could tell that it was some sort of cavern, a tunnel perhaps. Will wrinkled his nose in disgust.
"Gods. That smells terrible."

I nodded, and tentatively placed a foot through the door.
"Gah!" I almost slipped, but someone caught me. Will stood next to me, clutching my arm.
"You good, Deathboy?" I nodded, before regaining my balance.

"It's slippery." I said, my face heating up. I stepped into the tunnel before they could see my blush. What. Piper would never let it go.

We walked down the passageway for a few metres before Hazel spoke up.

"It's gonna end soon." I sighed, relieved. The whole jar thing was ages ago, but I guess time doesn't heal everything.
"Uh, guys?" said Monica, her voice wavering. "This really isn't a good idea."
"Yeah, what's in this chamber of secrets anyway?"
"Apparently some beast called Slytherin's Monster,"
"We're here." I said abruptly, interrupting Monica. I know it's rude and all, but my nerves really didn't need hyping up.

I heard a shudder from Monica as we stepped into the chamber, and honestly, I couldn't blame her.

There was virtually no light in the place, but enough so that we could spot the slimy membrane that covered the walls. Our footfalls were accompanied by a squelching noise, that me realise that the floor was coated in the same slippery substance.

I felt a warm hand clamp onto my arm, and a second later, Will came into view. His eyes were darting around the cave-like room nervously. Aw, he's scared!
"You good, Will?" I asked, a small smile finding its way onto my lips. He hummed nervously, his grip on my arm tightening.

"...I don't like dark places. Or underground places. Or literally anything about this." he half sang the last bit, a nervous habit of his.
"Calm down, Solace. It's just a cave."
"I am the son of the sun!" he hissed. Then he blinked. "Pun unintended."

"You guys are so slow!" said Piper, striding forward. "Mind picking up the pace?"
"Shut up, Beauty Queen."
"Death Breath."
"Princess!"
"Skeleton boy!
"LOSER!"
"GEEK!"

"WHATEVER!" roared Hazel. (IF YOU GET THIS REFERENCE I LOVE YOU.) "In case you two didn't notice, Monica is kinda freaking out here!?" I shut up, and Piper gave a nervous chuckle. Gods, Hazel was sweet and all, but when she went into mum-friend mode, run.

"Mi dispiace."  I muttered sheepishly.
"Sorry, Monica."
"S'fine." muttered Monica.

"Uh, guys? You might wanna look at this." Standing next to one of the walls was Will, who'd let go of my hand moments before. I'd assumed that it was just another wall, but apparently not.

"What is it?" said Piper, jogging up behind him.
"There's a hole in the rocks." he looked up at us. "What do you think?" I walked up to him, followed my Hazel and Monica. Sure enough, the wall looked very different from the others. This one was pretty much just a blockade of boulders, which looked like they'd fallen down recently. There wasn't even much slime on these ones.

"This ones, different." said Hazel. She turned to me. "You wanna try?" I shrugged, before grabbing Will and Piper by their arms, and melting into the shadows.

As usual, a jet of freezing air hit me, which probably smells like rotting bodies. But after shadow travelling so many times; you kind of block your nose subconsciously. Sure enough, we ended up on the other side of the wall. I turned to a gap in the crude structure.

"All clear!" moments later, Hazel appeared, Monica in tow. The crystal eyed girl gasped, blinking feverently.
"What the heck was that?" she whisper shouted. She turned to me.

"You can apparate? But that wasn't really apparating, was it? You kind of... liquified?" she turned to Hazel. "Did he liquify? Anyway, you were like this, black goop, and then you were gone! And the black goop was gone! And you kidnapped those two while you were at it! And-"
"Monica!" said Hazel firmly. "Calm down." she looked at Hazel with crazed eyes.

"CALM DOWN??? YOU GUYS JUST TURNED INTO GOOP!" Great. This is exactly what we need right now.

"Monica!" She turned to me.
"Si?"
"Are we goop right now?" she stared at me. Slowly, she shook her head.
"Are we alive?" A nod. "So are we okay?" Another nod.

"So could you maybe stop freaking out?" There were a few seconds of silence, followed by a nod. "Good."I turned toward the rest of the room. And whoa.

It was huge, like really huge. It reminded me of dad's entrance hall. Large, underground, and eternally creepy.

For starters, half the place was flooded. The front half of the Chamber of Secrets- I'm assuming this is the place, was floored with dark char-like brick, which slowly turned into more recent flooring, which doesn't really make sense to me. This more recent flooring eventually succumbed to ink-like water, which was slowly leaking out of... A GIANT MOUTH WHAT THE-

Okay. Salazar Slytherin was so big headed that he set a huge marble carving of his freaking face into the wall of his chamber. Alright. I shouldn't be so surprised, honestly. I mean, Zeus would probably do the same.

"Uh, guys?" asked a confused Piper. "What in Hades is that?" I followed her gaze to the centre of the room, and saw, a skeleton?

"Ooh! What type of animal is that?" before I could stop him, my idiot boyfriend was in the centre of the room, examining the bones. But, I can't say I don't want to join him. I walked up behind him, and the skeleton revealed the shape of... a large snake? Well that's what it looked like anyway. The entire thing was creepy, and the way it lay on the floor made different ribs lock into each other. Will stared at, dumbfounded.

"What is that?" suddenly, a strange noise echoed through the chamber, it sounded like... hissing?
