.......

Will's POV

"And that's the castle." said my boyfriend, and Soulmate, I reminded myself smiling.

"Whoa. This place is bigger than I thought." Piper chuckled. "Yeah." I agreed. It was bigger than normal, even for a god.

"Well, dad does have to stay here 24/7, so.." said Nico shrugging. In the year after the war, Hades and Nico had formed a stronger relationship. Which was strange, granted that he'd spent way more time in the "Relm of the Living."

"Moving on," interrupted Hazel, "Weren't we supposed to meet the gods somewhere?"

"Yeah. The music room or something." said Piper.

"Right. At two?" we all turned to Nico who was leaning against the wall.

"We're late." He said casually. "What?" we all shouted. If there was one thing we learned at camp, it was do not, on any circumstances, anger the gods. While we were freaking out, Nico just rolled his eyes. "Guy's. Chill. I can shadow travel us."

"Nuh uh. You are not shadow traveling death bo-" But before I could finish, my gorgeous smirking boyfriend had grabbed my hand, and we plunged into darkness.

Percy's POV

It had been two months since Nico, Will, Piper and Hazel had disappeared. Chiron had refused to tell us more than they were fine, but wouldn't be back for a while. Everyone seemed worried, everyone except the youngest Apollo camper, a little girl named Catherine. She refused to tell anyone anything, except for the fact that Will had apparently promised her that he'd come back. I chuckled. She seemed to look up to Will a lot. But I was worried. She was quite powerful, and the last experience I'd had with broken promises hadn't ended as well.

I sighed. Nico. That guy was a puzzle. Ever since the war, he'd become more social, but he was still as mysterious as ever. The only people who seemed to know him were Will, Hazel and surprisingly Piper. Ever since Jason's death.... Jason's death. Even I had a hard time accepting he's gone. He always seemed so solid, so... there. Like he'd never fade away. I gave myself a shake. Standing up I made my way back to my cabin. If sword fighting couldn't distract me, I don't know what could.

As I walked toward my cabin, I couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong. Like the entire camp was holding it's breath. I knew better than to ignore the feeling. Demigod senses were hardly ever wrong.

The feeling was still there as I walked to the Amphitheater with Grover. Annabeth was in New Rome, and Leo was too busy building something to come. After a few songs, I was sure that the feeling was just me. I mean, I'd had it since breakfast, and nothing had happened yet, surely it was just in my head, right?

Suddenly a chorus of gasps ensued from the crowd, and the Apollo kids stopped singing. The fire was black. Black. In all my time at Camp, the fire had never been black. And even stranger, it was still as high as ever. Within a second, Chiron was at the fireside.

He muttered something to a Apollo camper, who nodded and told everyone but Catherine and the head Councillors to leave. Campers left the theater, throwing curious looks at the stage, and muttering to their friends.

I descended the steps with Grover confused and more than a bit worried. What in Hades was happening?

As I reached the stage, Chiron drew out a silver dagger. Without saying a word, we all circled around the fire. As I stared into the pitch-black fire, a thought occurred to me. This was fire. The giver of light. And right now, it was so dark, I couldn't see anything in it. I chuckled. It was almost funny. But mostly disturbing. Catherine, who had been quiet until now, walked up to the fire and uttered two words.

"They're coming." Chiron turned to her. "Who?" He asked. I couldn't read the expression on his face.

Kayla approached her sister carefully. "Who's coming Cat?"

She looked up at her sister innocently. "Will and his friends."

Chiron looked into the fire fearfully. "Now?" he said in a quiet voice. She nodded. I exchanged looks with Grover. Whenever Chiron was nervous, it wasn't good. He knelt down and grabbed Cat's hand.

He moved it toward the fire slowly, and the rest of us just looked on. Just before her hand touched the flames, the fire glowed a bright angry red. All of us except Cat stepped back. She smiled and clapped her hands.

The fire opened up and out stepped the Nico, Will, Piper and Hazel.
