Dawn as been there for you since day one. She was your support system, your shoulder to cry on. You needed anything she was there. It was the same for her as it was for you.
Last week you had to go to the hospital for some testing. The results could be life changing, and you didn't want to go on your own when they came back. So you asked Dawn to come with you and she said she would.
So there you were in the office, sitting in a chair, with Dawn next to you. Dr. Herron sat down and sighed.
"I'm sorry to inform you that the test results came back and it's not good... You have breast cancer"
Dawn eyes began to water. She grabbed ahold of your hand.
"You are going to get through this. You are going to fight this. And I'm going be there for you. Every step of the way"
____ Sorry if this was too much. I know a lot of people have to fight it and not many people write about it and with it being Breast Cancer awareness month, I thought I should write something like this.
