Chapter 26 - Talking

Josh and Maya were still in the car busy driving back to New York.
They were about half way but Maya was like super nerves about more than just one little thing and Josh noticed that.

"I'm sorry Maya. I should have kept my mouth closed," Josh said and Maya looked at him.
"It's not your fault. It's not anyone's actually. We knew they were going to act like this but I didn't think anyone would force you," Maya said.
"I should have just left them to wonder. I'm sorry if I complicated things for you," Josh said.

Maya felt a strong feeling in her chest.
But not like ever before.
It was like she knew what was going to happen yet she just left it to be.
Why?

"You didn't. Things were complicated before we came here," Maya said.
"Do you think you guys will ever fix it up?" Josh asked.
"Yeah. We always do. We'll be just fine."
